Thank You Everyone

The folks at the hotel not only went above and beyond any expectation I could of ever have had. I was in a pinch to get my Penguins Game1 tickets and the front desk got one of the managers to help me print my tickets no matter what. Point 2. When we checked in there was some a minor mishap but [...] the manager on duty fixed everything and made sure our room was suite instead of just a king. Thank you all so very much and I can not wait to stay with you folks again!GO PENS!!!!!!p.s. They have a Starbucks in house.

Convenient

Reception staff were helpful. Hotel location is outstanding for events at Consul, 30 second walk. Will book again at Marriott City Center. Quick and easy location from interstate highway.

good location to arena

was a good stay other than poor service at the hotel bar. Don't know who to blame...the server, bartender or the kitchen staff but all were slow and not attentive. Other than that, short drive to the strip and amazing food and shopping. We were there to go to the new arena which was just a short walk from the hotel. Glad we stayed where we did!!!

High price, but still good service

It's kinda over priced since I've stayed at hotels in different areas in Pittsburgh for about half the price and had the same type of room, but since it's right in the middle of downtown, it does have a good location. Especially if you're going to the mellon arena since it's right across the street. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was pretty good too. Overall a pretty good stay, just a little pricey

Penguins weekend

Our stay was amazing! We saw 2 Pens games, U of Pitt Gymnastics meet, Market Square, Station Square and went up the incline! The waitstaff at the restaurant were top notch. The food was also great! The concierge and shuttle service were excellent! Can't wait to book our trip for next year!

weekend trip

room service was expensive but the food was good and delivered quickly. There was an option to order your breakfast the night before and have it delivered at a designated time the next morning. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel, but a little overpriced

We travelled to Pittsburgh for the Steelers/Radiers game on 12/06/09. This was the second hotel we stayed at on our trip. We wish we could have stayed at the first. It's a very nice hotel. Nice amenities, wonderful staff, but everything is soooo expensive. $24 a day for parking!? Not to mention the room was $100 more a night than the first hotel, but was smaller in size. We liked the restaurant, and the fact there was a bar in the hotel. but the pool was very small and overall it ranked a distant second to the hotel experience we had the night before. In closing, I would stay there again if they dropped thier prices a bit. It was not a good value.

Excellent Stay for Mellon Arena Events

Location-location location. Our main event was at the Mellon Arena on a Sunday night. We parked our car and left it there. Were able to walk to the arena, catch complimentary shuttle to National Aviary (our driver hooked us up w/ BOGO coups) and a $6 cab ride back. Nothing like driving through a city with someone who knows their way around! WHAT a TRIP! The staff was was excellent, very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet held me until i got home 7pm that night. A great family OR couples place to stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable...didn't need my own pillow!

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

If you've got an event at the Mellon Arena- stay here; then talk to the staff about where/what else to visit/see while you're there. You may be in PITTSburgh but it has so much to offer. It's a great city.
