Responsive, friendly service

Nicely appointed rooms, although small in terms of square footage. We reported our king bed mattress as being "shot" and it was swapped out promptly, with a phone message left with an apology for the inconvenience. Wish there had been a rooftop pool or some kind of outdoor lounge area for a drink.

Wedding backup

We've always wanted to stay at the WP hotel and luckily after moving to CA it was available for us for a wedding downtown. The Omni William Penn is reminiscent of the Waldorf Astoria in New York for its lavish interior and decadent design. With the addition of the Speakeasy bar, on top of the awesome gym, you really cannot find a better place in Pittsburgh to stay. Worth the money and worth your time if you enjoy staying at great hotels.

Close to everything

First visit to Pittsburgh and we made the right choice for our hotel. We are big on walking around new places to get our bearings and work off all the eating out. Despite the look of shock and horror on the face of the front desk clerk when we asked her for walking directions to a restaurant 1 1/2 miles away, we found it to be an easy walk to South Side and the Strip District. Even if walking a mile isn't your thing, this hotel is on Grant Street, so there is plenty to see within a few blocks (I liked the replica Bridge of Sighs at the old courthouse). The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was a little tight, but we had a corner room with lots of sunlight, so that seemed like a fair trade.
