I have stayed at this location on previous vacations, on those occassions, we found the hotel and staff to be exceptional. ... However, on this trip, there was a big difference in the attitude of the staff, I had one issue and it was not solved by your staff, I had to take care of it myself. The room was not cleaned as well during our staff, the top pillows were not placed on the bed daily, the glass we used was not cleaned and replaced. We noticed a bottle cap lying on the floor in the hallway for 2 days, it was still there when we left. I am concerned because I am booked there in January. I hope it will return to the atmosphere we enjoyed previously.

Should have been better
Tired traveler Jul 27, 2009
All I needed to to was get a good night's sleep before a very early flight. The location couldn't have been better, just a ... moving sidewalk away from the terminal. The check-in went fine, my room looked nice. I had a smoking room, right away I noticed there was no ashtray so I had to call down for one. There were all kinds of noises coming from either next door or upstairs, I was the end room so I don't know what was next door, perhaps a meeting room. But there was loud banging and vacuum cleaners, that type of noise. We're talking 7 or 8 o'clock at night. The TV was very hard to work, to just watch regular TV you had to go back to the main menu and start over everytime you wanted to change a channel. After accidently unplugging the clock I found that it was impossible to reset, thank goodness I had ordered a wake-up call. When I turned off the lights I noticed a lot of light coming from the hall. It turns out that on the hinge side of the door there was no weatherstripping so I could see a gap of perhaps a quarter inch into the hall. Needless to say not only did this let light in but hallway noises sounded like they were right next to me. I paid a lot for this room an I was very dissapointed that it was so rinky-dink.

Excellent hotel (with one caveat)
Archinerds Jun 15, 2009
We had an excellent experience -- quiet, clean, spacious room and a friendly bar and restaurant in the lobby. The fitness ... center and pool were well-equipped and a pleasant surprise. The hotel's a two-minute walk down a covered walkway from the main terminal; perfect for a stopover. One caution for non-smokers: the 3rd floor is a partial-non-smoking floor...which means you walk through a smoky hallway to get to your not-very-non-smoking room. But when we went right back down to the front desk, the staff were apologetic and quick to accommodate us on a fully non-smoking floor. A tiny complaint, well handled, in an otherwise quite pleasant stay.

The Hyatt Regency is truly a beautiful hotel and I highly recommend anyone to stay here. The rooms are large and spacious. ... The decorating is sensational and we felt like we were staying in a pent house. Everything at the hotel is immaculate and the staff were always courteous and eager to assist. We came for the Pittsburgh/Dallas game as I am the Steelers fan and my fiancee is the Cowboys fan. We became engaged at half time and we will return again.

The HYATT REGENCY PITTSBURGH INTL AIRPORT was a wonderful hotel. I just needed a place to meet my son when he flew in from ... California. We were very satisfied with the room and the staff was very helpful. We really didn't have any need for dining facilities or hotel amenities but, they all looked very nice. This hotel, attached to the Pittsburg Airport cannot be beaten for its convenience. However, it is gatting very shabby. The ... carpets are soiled and the decor needs updating. The internet servivice was a pain to connnect and took a service person to come to the room and make the connection. We had similar trouble a year before! On the other hand, the food was good, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly.

The Hyatt at the Pittsburgh Airport was super-convienient and easy to stay at. Walking from the terminal directly to the ... hotel in a covered pathway kept me and my son out of the cold and snow/rain. It is located right next to the airport and could not be easier to stay at for a short trip to Pittsburgh. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Although the restaurant was VERY overpriced!!!
