Convenient
Very clean and great selection for the free breakfast. Parking at hotel is extra $14. Took the free shuttle to Station Square. Stayed on a Saturday night and the street side of the hotel was noisy from traffic and people walking from bars til early morning hours.

"Great location and great service"
Went for the night to see the Taylor Swift concert. The hotel offered free shuttle service to and from the arena. The rooms were nice and the staff was extremely friendly. Didn't realize I would have to pay to park but over all had a great experience and would stay again.

College Visit Trip
We spent two nights so our college-bound senior could visit UPitt. The hotel was clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff was also very courteous and helpful. Our only complaint was the noise level in the middle of the night when all the rowdy guests are returning from partying on E. Carson St. It sounded like people were moving furniture all around us, bumping into the walls, and getting sick in the halls. It wouldn't have been so bad but it lasted a couple of hours between 1:30 and 3:30am. We almost called Security. I read not to visit during a Steelers weekend. This was NOT a Steelers weekend -- just an average Saturday night in February. E. Carson St. is convenient for fun restaurants and shopping, but I guess this is its flip side. Otherwise, I liked the hotel and it served us well.

Short walk from hotel
You can easily walk down E. Carson St and find a restaurant within 10 blocks (they're short blocks). We ate at Thai Me Up (good) and Ibiza Spanish Tapas & Wine Bar (only so-so).

positive experience from start to finish
I rented a room at this hotel for my husbands birthday. I rented a 2 bed suite with a pool out couch and it was roomy enough to accomodate everyone that attended! The location couldn't be better, walking distance to almost anything you need. I didn't like that I had to pay $14.00 to park at the hotel. I also didn't find that the rooms were very clean. There were a couple of items left behind from previous guests and it was pretty obvious that the maids didn't do a detailed cleaning job. The staff at the front desk was what really stood out to make it a positive experience!! THey couldn't have been any friendlier and accomodating. I would stay here again in a second!!

Good Price Centrally located
My stay was to have surgery. The shuttle services about a 2 mile area. the hospital was out of the service area. The staff and shuttle driver went out of there way to shuttle me to and from the hospital at no charge. I call that customer service at its best.

Perfect location!
Being the only hotel in Pittsburgh's South Side this place can get a little crazy, but the staff does a good job of keeping order.

Holiday Inn Express
It was great. we had to change our flight due to impending snow, so we did not get to spend a lot of time at the hotel. while we were there, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

U2 Concert Stay
Very nice facility, great breakfast. Location was convenient to activities in the city. Price was a bit steep for our budget, probably won't use in the future.
