Crowne Plaza PITTSBURGH SOUTH

Stayed here for one night for a family party. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the bar area had a fun atmosphere, and the rooms were fine. Good value!

Because I booked through this site, they couldn't guarentee the room I requested. The staff was very unaccomadating and rude when I called the front desk to inquire why I wasn't in a king room and if I could be switched to one. The room's heater blew out cool air and the only curtain that closed was the sheer one so the room was not dark at all.

We generally do not stay at this hotel , in fact ,because there were a lot of events in town the weekend that we stayed, there was no other hotel available even remotely close to where we needed to be. On the plus side, the location is good and the staff was helpful and courteous. On the downside , the hotel is grossly overpriced for an outdated and marginally clean facility . The rooms are far smaller than local competitors and had a number of ill functioning or frankly broken items . The shower curtain bracket was hanging by a screw , for instance and the matresses were beond awful .Our room was right across from the elevator and the noise level kept me and my children up most of the night, despite complaints. The noise came both from the hallway and adjacent rooms. The breakfast buffet was lame and overpriced and on Sunday , they added the title " Grand Buffet " along with 20 dollars per person for ham and an omelette station. So essentially , we paid 40 bucks more for a slice of ham and 2 omlettes . I would not stay here again unless I had absolutely no other choice. Spring Hills Suites, Hampton Inn and many other properties offer more ammenities ( indoor pool, hot tub) at a far better price.

Family wedding in township south of Pitt which made hotel convenient for trips to city and wedding. Very courteous staff. Housekeeping was OK.

Check in was quick and efficient. The staff was helpful and courteous. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet.

First time in PA to see Steeler's game, excited to be there. Recommend GPS, we spent hours trying to find our way there. Hotel Staff not very helpful over the phone. Room was nice but very dated furniture. Electrical outlets overloaded. Reported broken floor lamp that was a safety issue, no one did anything. When I returned to my room the broken lamp was still there, at least they made the bed.

Everything was ok - the check in and check out procedures went quickly and smoothly, and the staff was very polite. The accommodations in the hotel were adequate, there were no noise problems, and everything went smoothly.

Nice place to stay while visiting family.

The first room that they gave us was listed as non smoking but smelled heavily of smoke. They put us in a different room which was much better.
