Weekend Getaway
Hotel was good, nothing special, but close to downtown, about a 6 minute taxi cab ride to Station Square. Good bang for your buck. Outdoor pool is cool, but it was closed because it was too cold outside. Would be nice if it was warm out. Great breakfast in the morning, free wi-fi and computer in the lobby. There is a bar attached to the hotel, but nothing special, just another hole in the wall townie bar.

Horrible Experience
I booked this hotel two weeks before our scheduled mini-vacation. When we arrived to check-in, our room key didnt work (while the entire upstairs hallway smelled of weed). The receptionist again activated our key, and again it didnt work. During the wait in the lobby, 'call-girls' and their 'bosses' kept coming in and out, going upstairs with different men. Finally the receptionist said he could give us a different room, but this one didnt have an AC, for $10 off( and this is during the heat-wave in the Northeast, where the temp was 87 degrees at midnight). We refused that, and asked for a refund, but since I booked thru [...], I was told I would have trouble getting my money back. Finally we got a free upgrade to a jacuzzi suite for what we were told would be for the 1st night only. This 'suite' room had broken glass and open safety pins on the floor, pubic hairs in the shower, the bathroom faucet had no temp settings - it was just hot water, the jacuzzi had something crusted to the sides and bottom, the shower had horrible water pressure, and the mini-fridge didnt work.In the morning, I talked to the manager, and he did end up letting us in the same room for both nights, which was a plus. If you like hotels in the ghetto, creepy men outside making gross comments, and cigarette burned sheets, then this hotel is perfect for you. But I would recommend spending the few extra dollars for a room closer to the city, and in better condition.

An Okay Stay
I stayed in this location to be near friends I would be visiting and easy access to both the city and the South Hills area. The hotel was clean, but ordinary. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful. One of the exercise machines needs repair, the incline was not working correctly on the treadmill.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
The Galleria in Mt. Lebanon has some wondeful restaurants. I ate with friends at the Fish Market and it was very good.

Ok if you just want to sleep
Room was not available at 12:00 because cleaning crew came in late? Room was clean but small, bed was uncomfortable and pilllows were also small. Ok if you just need a place to crash for the night.

Served its purpose
The hotel is in a convenient location for Pittsburgh activities, but the room wasn't very clean. There were stains on the sheets and the bathroom was dirty. Other than that overall "not clean" feeling, it served its purpose.

Comfertable and Peaceful
If you want to use the internet then the Wi-Fi range and speed is NOT good at all. The breakfast was good and fresh but had little choice. If you are not very picky then this is a good hotel for a budget trip.
