Overview

This Neo-Classical landmark in the heart of Philadelphia spoils you rotten while giving a glimpse into the grandeur of the city s past. Gigantic pillars reminiscent of Athenian temples hold up the grand entrance, while colors form the tropics inject a note of modernity at the 10 Arts Lounge, where you can sip cocktails of equal vibrance beneath lofty marble columns and be treated to a spot of live music over the weekend. Reserve a room of stately proportions if you want to share your Arts Bistro platters in more private surrounds, or slip away for some luxury solitude at the Richel D Ambra Spa and try not to be too tempted by the dessert-like honey and hibiscus body wrap.

I loved the grand lobby and historic feel of the hotel. I forgot how small the rooms would be. That and the size of the beds are the only thing I'd change.

Dinner en Blanc HQ

Love staying in the heart of center city at the Ritz. Staff is excellent above and beyond. Room gets deductions for case goods issues. Knobs pulling off drawer, chipped and scraped bureaus that show the March of time. The sink has a broken faucet that should have been caught. Despite these minor annoyances engineering was super fast to correct and staff was very accommodating and comped breakfast. Starwood is building a W next door and the four seasons is returning in 2018 so Ritz get ready and tidy up the furnishings. But I will stay with you because I love the service

Historic building in the center of everything. First night was blown away by the amazing view from our window of city hall with its incredible architectural details. Train from the airport stops at Surbuban station which is a short walk to the hotel. Very much a fun pleasant place to stay.

Extended Weekend Trip to Philly

Would recommend Tue, May 26, 2015
My wife and I were visiting our son who was starting school in Philadelphia. First time we stayed at a Ritz-Carlton. This is a beautiful old hotel (originally constructed as a bank), great location in Cental City, easy to catch a cab to different venues. Very comfortable room, had an excellent breakfast there, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again.

Really a great experience in every way

Would recommend Tue, Sep 9, 2014
Location across from City Hall couldn't be better, near everything. The lobby and cocktail lounge are memorable, staff is wonderful. Our room for three was large and spotless, we were sorry to leave after only 5 days.

Dining

There are about 50 really great restaurants and bars within a short walk, who knew Philly was such a great foodie haven?
