Sonesta Hotel Philadelphia

Room was very comfortable, with a great mattress and just-right pillows. Water pressure was a little low in the shower, but had plenty of hot water. The room was clean and comfortable, except for a little dust in the corners of the room where it hadn't been completely vacuumed in some time. The only problem I had was with the door lock, where either the tumblers are wearing out or it needs a new battery, but the handle would only open consistently by pulling the handle up, and only sometimes pushing down. I slept very well, the room temperature was just right, and I'd definitely stay here again.

I arrived before the room was ready. There was no quiet place to work while waiting. Then after I checked in, I got stuck in an elevator for 30 minutes and had to be rescued. Then after checking in I found that Internet wasn't available in the room, so the hotel moved me to another room. Just after moving into that room, another guest arrived saying it was their room - they had just checked in and had a key. I was given a breakfast voucher for my trouble. I couldn't stay for breakfast next morning and asked if I could use it for dinner instead. The answer was no.

Very ordinary. Just missing something if you're looking for a nice place. Fine for a quick over night.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Fantastic location: can get to most places by walking or by public transportation. Parking garage is costly.

Not a Four Seasons - but this hotel is a very good value for a center city hotel. I definitely have noticed an improvement in the staff since Sonesta took over the hotel as far as friendlyness and helpfulness of the hotel employees. My two gripes are the HVAC system is fair, although my most recent time worked very well. Secondly, I do really appreciate the free Wi-Fi, but it is a little slow. BTW, I have rarely experienced good Wi-Fi at any hotel. Still one can hope. Overall, I am pleased with the value of this center city hotel.

Great experience marred by poor quality of shuttle service. I asked for a shuttle to the airport. The hotel contracts with an outside provider and kept telling me that the shuttle was 2 minutes away for 15 minutes beyond the pickup time and ultimately I took a cab which cost me substantially more.

The hotel room and its bathroom were actually quite small. Especially the bathroom (tiny). TV needs to be updated... Still using a "big tube" set. Valet parking was confusing, especially when retrieving the car. Location can't be beat!

I enjoyed very much my short stay in this place although I had a little incident during the early morning hours caused by a false fire alarm that didn't allow me to rest as I wanted. The rest is fine.

Perfect location. Meal/service is good. The weight room is convenient.

I came to town for the Rock n Roll marathon and have never been to philly. The room service was substandard one of the times we ordered it but the staff was very quick to apologize and they comped us that days room service and another days breakfast so overall I was happy. The gym is nice enough and compared to some of the other hotels in the area the interior and rooms are very nice.
