A hybrid of American and French design, the Sofitel Hotel Philadelphia is full of unique touches, from the Shaker quilt-inspired patterns in the stone lobby to the Art Deco lines of the suites themselves. Get your Francais fix at the Liberte Urban Chic restaurant, where both the cocktails and the pastries are precision-made, or settle in for some Continental-style brunch at the brasserie Chez Colette. Planet-21 certified for its use of eco-friendly practices and products, the Sofitel also has your personal health covered with an all-day fitness room.

Neighborhood
The Sofitel's City Center West location makes it an ideal base for exploring Philadelphia, starting with the French Quarter neighborhood of the hotel itself. Looking forward to checking out the Philly art scene while you're in town? The Sofitel Philadelphia is right near The Barnes Foundation, where guests can tour Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works, as well as tribal artwork from all over the world.

The Rodin Museum is also well worth visiting, for its 150-plus collection of legendary sculptures.

Fine but not remarkable

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. I stayed for two nights, great beds ( well, sort of I have a pet peeve about that European habit of not using a top sheet and only having the duvet. You're either too joy or too cold all night). Anyway the room very clean, nice gym. It's definitely starting to show a little wear and tear- the easy chair had a stain, carpet is starting to age, and the base boards were a bit scuffed and chipping. It's certainly a decent place - I've stayed before and would again. Only, however, if I got a good price - i'd never pay full price for this hotel. There's nothing special about it- services, decor and amenities are standard and unremarkable for its star classification. I would say stay if you get a good deal , but if you're looking for somewhere special this isn't the place.

Nice Boutique Hotel With Great Beds

Nice clean hotel; friendly service; excellent room furnishings and bedding; can't think of any complaints other than a slightly malodorous bartop - but then again, it was nearly midnight.... And know the address !! Taxi drivers have no clue how to find this hotel...

Perfect location peaceful trip

Blasted in for the 76ers game from CT, rode train to AT&T. Easy on and off. Walked the streets to the museums, a brisk 20 minutes or so. Shopping, great food and friendly staff. Took train to the burbs from Suburban station down the street and left with a smile on my face.

Great hotel with French flair

Was in town for an art opening at a nearby gallery, the hotel was conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, etc. Room was spacious, nice amenities, room service food was good, hotel staff extremely polite and the place had a wonderful continental ambience. My only disappointment was that you have to pay for high speed internet, in a place of this quality, I would have expected it to be included in the room price.

great city location

Lovely hotel & very acommodating. I was there to take in several art exhibits & staff was most helpful with info & transportation. A couple of issues with items in room that needed adjustment (TV not plugged in, safe malfunction, no key to the mini bar)but they got solved easily.

Great Stay as always

I always stay here, it's near Rittenhouse square and convenient to all parts of the city. Rooms are nice, restaurant is great. Only problem I had was that hot water took forever to come on. I've live in the city before and it's the only place I try to stay whenever I visit.

Pleasant stay for the second time...

A great weekend getaway - perfect location for shopping, dining, and nightlife. Great service, beautiful rooms, and friendly staff. This was my second stay - no disappointments here (well, maybe they should start offering complimentary internet access/wi-fi).
