it was okay
I think the hotel was pretending to be something that it wasn't. I would compare it to a classy version of a holiday inn. On the other hand, the price for staying was relatively cheap compared to other 4 or 5 star hotels, so I can't really complain.

Memorable Experience
Our first stop was the bar...service and martini's were on point. We stayed in a jr suite...very roomy..We loved the separate shower and the L'Occitane products. The location allowed casual walking, great restaurants and shops. Loved the breakfast - great European coffee. Looking forward to our next visit to Philadelphia and staying at the Sofitel. The service and staff were very personable and professional. In fact, we're going to make this hotel our Number 1 choice.

Great Stay as always
I always stay here, it's near Rittenhouse square and convenient to all parts of the city. Rooms are nice, restaurant is great. Only problem I had was that hot water took forever to come on. I've live in the city before and it's the only place I try to stay whenever I visit.

Great hotel...[...]
The only problem with the hotel was that their website indicated that there was private on-site parking and valet parking, however when we got there, there was only valet parking. However, the hotel staff did an excellent job of listening to our concern and making adjustments accordingly. [...]

Quick Stay at Sofitel
This was a quick trip with two old friends. We'd stayed at the Sofitel before and liked it so much we returned. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is pretty central to shopping, dining and historical sights.

Refuge from hustle and bustle
I arrived in Philly bracing myself for a madcap few days of conference activities. The extremely friendly personnel at the front desk and the Bose radio in my room set to a classical music station put me a far calmer frame of mind. All told, a perfect refuge throughout my stay from the hustle and bustle of the conference.

Great weekend
This was a lovely hotel. The staff handled the blizzard of '09 with aplomb, and justly earned their 4-star status. I'd stay at the Sofital again.
