Well located, but older style property.
Really well located in close proximity to University of Pennsylvania and Drexel. But the rooms are small and the common areas and parking lot are old style and outdated, even though the rooms are renovated. Rooms were small. But flat screen TV was great.

Very good Hotel
The staff were more than helpful in resolving issues. Beds were very comfortable. GYM Equipment was excellently maintained. Location was good for my needs. Noodle bar restaurant phenomenal food. The room was clean, the bathroom not so clean, faucet moves and should not have. The internet a bit slow. Parking is 25 a night for hotel guests, it is 20 more a day for continental breakfast. Do not offer a shuttle to the hospital for family. Did not get to the pool this time.

I was attracted by the promise of an in-house desk computer. It was so slow that it was useless. I got nothing from it.

Very tired hotel trading on its location
Hotel has great location next to the Penn campus but there has obviously been little investment in the hotel in years. Rooms very tired. Little effort at making the experience a good one. I would not stay there again.

sheraton university city
within walking distance of colleges and subway.hotel has been updated with computers and wifi, but still needs other updating...molding was coming off wall.parking garage was an accident waiting to happen...staff very nice and accomadating...excellent location..near a store eateries etc.I have no ojection to seeing eye dog,but Hotel allows people to have other pets which were allowed in lobby to walk around.

24 hours of fun
I came to Philadelphia to watch the Mets play the Phillies and at the same time, give my son a taste of one of the oldest cities in the country. I chose the Sheraton Philadelphia Univ. City Hotel because of its location (1 block from the subway), proximty to a small number of specialty bar/restauants, & general store. I especially chose this particular hotel because it would impress my 12yr old with a outdoor pool, indoor fitness center, HD TV and internet access. We are coming back because it most over all is affordable. Dad likes that most. Hey, I'm easy to please, heh heh heh !

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Take the train for a few stops and get off at City Hall. Walk to Chestnut Street and proceed to walk back to the hotel. It is one way to enjoy a few hours away from sight seeing and instead get some shopping done and a bite to eat.

Good Hotel,[...]
This hotel was a pretty good hotel. It was clean and quiet. However, we came with a two year old who needs to drink 3 bottles of milk a day. We brought the milk with us expecting a fridge in the room like the website states. It doesn't say "fridge available upon request." Our room did not come with a fridge and we were told there was none available in the hotel. [...] In the end, the hotel found us a fridge.[...]

Everything was fine
Clean room and was right near the hospital. Really helped while my Grandfather was getting a quadruple bypass. The room was tight but that's only because we had 2 queens.
