The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown is a large and popular business hotel that also caters to vacationers with its central location. Pretty Good room exceptional staff
It's all about location and this place is it. Basically in the center of the city. The staff of this Sheraton were very helpful and extremely friendly and very approachable. Having a great staff is what made me overlook some of what would have otherwise been complaints. The room was large but not exactly stellar as I've had come to expect from other Sheraton locations in other cities. While everything was in place the bed was sort of just thrown together. While it was "clean" the lack of detail of cleanliness was a concern. The fixtures were very dusty like they've never been dusted. That can be overlooked. The worst thing to me is walking out of your room and having to navigate through the clutter ie; bags of laundry, room service scraps, minifridges & garbage in the hall. Like I said the staff is what made me enjoy my stay and the size of my room is what would make me want to come back. I actually will stay there again upon a return trip.

If you go to Philly do not get a rental car. Overnight parking is expesive and it's way too easy to get around without a car. Taxi or bus or subway are the way to get around. That is if you don't like walking.

Sheraton Philadelphia City Center Hotel
Generally good, though our room wasn't ready until 8 PM. And while the staff knew we needed the room quickly, they didn't call right away when a room had become ready.

pleasant stay
The hotel room was spacious and clean. There was a pool though it was small and old. The location was great, making everything very accessible.

Unbeatable location for the price
I stayed at this hotel for a conference and this hotel was fantastic - close walking distance to the conference center and plenty of shops and restraunts nearby

Quiet even when busy
great spot for seeing all the parts of the city. Walking distance to the museums, city hall and Terminal Market. It was a busy weekend in the hotel and it was still quiet and did not feel as busy as it was.

unbeatable location for the price
The hotel staff were very nice and a young gentlemen named [...] and 2 other were very nice.I went walking aqround there and took some pictures and I told my daughters that we will take a trip there to learn of the history there in Philadelphia. Oh and one more thing the cleaning lady that was there on the 9th floor was so very lovely also. If the snow was not so bad there in the winter I would move there.

Travelling with the dog
Dog friendly
I was impressed with how dog-friendly the hotel was. There were many other guests with dogs, and the hotel staff was accommodating. The only requirement was keeping our dog in a crate while we were not in the room.
