Overview

Built in the 1920s, Kimpton Palomar Hotel Philadelphia is a boutique hotel with a penchant for quirks. The building is strikingly Art Deco, inside and out, with multi-colored busts lining the lobby and modernist geometry characterising the wall-art. Happy hours don t come much more sophisticated than the hotel s hosted wine hour where you ll get to refine your palate and expand your social circle, while dishes like truffle popcorn and beer-braised mussels at SQUARE 1682 really pull out all the stops. Make use of the in-room yoga mat for a private exercise routine, or take out one of the hotel s free bikes to get around town. You can always make time to chill on your bed later, with a massage and body treatment service that comes straight to you.

Used to love this hotel. Staff not as attentive as our stay last year. Also, very slow- asked for rollaway, car from valet, coffee ran out in lobby and wasn't refilled at 8:00. When you pay for a boutique hotel, expected more......

Great Central Location ...

Would recommend Fri, Sep 25, 2015
Great central location in downtown area convenient and within walking distance to historical district, high end shopping and dining, subway, tour and bus lines. Incredibly friendly staff and complimentary wine hour every evening as well as bikes for touring the city. DEFINITELY recommend the Palomar.

Great business trip

Would recommend Thu, Aug 13, 2015
Loved the hotel and was very comfortable. Wine and Sangria at 6:00 daily in the lobby for no charge. Don't make the mistake of drinking the bottled fred water from the room though as this is $5 per bottle. This is a bit of a disconnect, (big charge for water but none for wine?) but otherwise, great stay!!

Perfect Pet Friendly Hotel

Would recommend Mon, May 18, 2015
I had high hopes for the Palomar and it still managed to exceed my expectations. The location is ideal, the staff courteous, the design unique and, best of all, it is pet friendly. It's located just a few blocks from a park, so it was easy to take our dogs out each day. I plan on staying here whenever I return to Philadelphia.

Birthday Trip

Would recommend Mon, Apr 6, 2015
When I first walked into my room, I thought it was a nice, cute room. Then I walked into the bathroom and was floored! We decided to go with the king spa room and the bathroom was amazing. There was a pretty big sized shower and within the shower, there is a huge Jacuzzi sized bathtub. It was a nice room for the amount that we paid. A negative thing about the hotel is that there is a restaurant connected to it. How is this a negative? Because it isn't just for people staying in the hotel, causing it to be high traffic around peak hours. Which sucks because we could never eat in the restaurant without waiting for quite some time. Another thing is that the doormen are supposed to open the door for you when you come in and out. If you get lucky, that may happen. They are more concerned about holding the conversations they are having among themselves to actually help. Overall, I had a wonderful time for this being my first time in Philadelphia and for it being spent over my birthday weekend. I would do it all over again!

Avg hotel

Would not recommend Mon, Mar 2, 2015
The hotel is beautiful, in a great location, staff is extemely friendly, but there's no valet, the beds were uncomfortable, room was a little on the small side, there wasn't a vent in the bathroom, and the room was really drafty. For the price though it was average value, all the hotels have similar amenities, this was a right down the middle. I would give it another try, but I wouldn't recommend it until I had a more positive experience.
