Very pricey but nice place

I was only here for a night and found it to be quite a lot of money for only needing to sleep somewhere but it was a good location and easy to find. Not many places to park around the hotel, so had to do valet, which was $37 a day! I will probably search for a different hotel at a lesser rate if I were to be back in center city Philly.

Not warm and friendly

We reserved a room for three. The room was not set up for a third person and we had to make multiple calls to housekeeping to get bedding. The HVAC wasn't working properly so the room ranged from stifling to freezing. There was a lot of traffic noise, even though we were on an upper floor. Parking at the hotel is very expensive and inconvenient. They do not have a shuttle service. Room service is insanely expensive and was the only option other than bringing in a cooler. I would not choose this hotel again.

Great location

This hotel is conveniently located right in the center of the "touristy" area of Philly. The room was clean. Staff was fine, not overly friendly. Parking is not included, park at the Independence Visitor Center and walk to the hotel (only a few blocks).

Average

Room was ok, but showed wear and tear in some places, which was disappointing. Had wall instead of window (!!!), which was dreadful. For $160, I expect much more.

Hit or miss

I found the comment from the reception staff to be unusual. He said if otherguests were making too much noise, the hotel has ways to deal with it (??!). Fortunately we were on a quiet floor. Tha amenities are average- not a bad hotel, but there are better

Great Location

Location - Location - Location. Easy walk to historic sites and great Old City restaurants. Nice hotel. Only beef was being put in the worst room in the hotel - 1 small window looking at a brick wall. Check in said they would try to get us into another room but it never happened. Only stayed 1 night but we were celebrating our anniversary and the room put a slight damper on our celebration. Especially since we decided to pay more for premium hotel.

Omni Hotel at Independence Park

As they say, location, location, location. Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the information center were all within walking distance. The "phlash" trolly, regular trolly and bus tours are at the information center. The regular buses can be picked up at the corner (about ten steps from the hotel). Since the hotel is located in the "old city" all the surroundings are scenic. The streets are cobbled, the historic buildings with their parks are right across the street from the hotel. Some very scenic row houses are located about two blocks from the hotel. Besides the location I want to recommend the hotel for it's lovely rooms and common areas, and, even more important, it's staff. All employees of the hotel are anxious to make your stay memorable and are willing to do what they can to facilitate this goal. We asked [...] at the front desk to call and print out our boarding passes at 2:00pm. We just happened to return to the hotel for more memory cards for our cameras at 2:05pm and stopped at the desk and she had our boarding passes ready. We could go on and on but I think you get the message that we were very happy about choosing the Omni Hotel.

Make sure you stop at the regional market. It is a huge combination of farmer's market, flea market, inexpensive lunch stop. It is fun just to look and take pictures if you are not hungry. The Amish have a large area of perfect vegetables and preserves.
