Amazing Hotel

Good price for this 4 star hotel. Obitz should not require a minimum amount of verbage here. Heck, they got my money, a few words should suffice.

Friendly staff, beautiful view

Location can't be beat if you're visiting the old historic bits of Philadelphia, but within a 15 minute walk you can hit the cultural/arts district as well. Good restaurants all around (Amada, Fork - go to Fork's casual cafe for breakfast - and Zahav all within a few blocks. Three of the top restaurants in Philadelphia!) Very friendly, helpful staff, from the doormen/greeters, valets, front desk, et al. Really won us all over. Stayed on the 9th floor, and the room overlooked the park, which was beautiful and green, but also included the waterfront (and a battleship), the CC East skyline, etc. The room was very comfortable - some of the bedding and upholstery looked a bit worn, but otherwise the furnishings were terrific. Not cheap, but found a deal online that brought the price in line with the service and excellent location.

Good restaurants all around (Amada, Fork, and Zahav all within a few blocks). Fork's casual cafe on Market between 3rd and 4th ("Fork Etc.") is a great place for breakfast. Fresh baked brioche rolls every morning to go with nice strong coffee.

Very pricey but nice place

I was only here for a night and found it to be quite a lot of money for only needing to sleep somewhere but it was a good location and easy to find. Not many places to park around the hotel, so had to do valet, which was $37 a day! I will probably search for a different hotel at a lesser rate if I were to be back in center city Philly.

Great getaway

This is a perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Philly. The Omni is in the center of everything and it was great leaving the car and walking around town and taking the subway to see a Phillies game. The room was very nice with a very pretty view and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Only one "issue"

When booking this hotel, it mentioned "only 2 rooms left at this price". Upon checking in I realized why...they told me there was "no views" which really didn't matter as it was bed time and we had to check out early the next day. Out of curiosity, I opened the drapes and saw a brick wall. Someone hoping for a beautiful view of Philly would have surely been disappointed but it didn't matter to me.

So Comfy

The view of Independence Park was amazing, even in the winter. It was nice to return to such a cozy room after the medical appointments which brought us to Philadelphia.
