Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Philadelphia Airport

Staff was nice. Could have been cleaner in stairwells especially. Room was very tiny. The hallways were noisy at night.

The hotel was kind enough to allow an early check-in -- 12:30pm -- despite their usual 3pm check-in. (we stayed at a sheraton later in our travels, and they could not accomodate us until the formal check-in time) The room was spacious, though it smelled a little bit of smoke despite being nonsmoking. The bathroom was large and clean, and the tub had those shower curtain rods that curve out and give you more elbow room. The only unnerving things were some cigarette burns on the wall, and a TV bolted to the dresser at an angle. Unfortunately breakfast ended a little early for me, at 9:30, but it started at 5:30, so it is convenient for early travelers. This hotel is quick walking distance from the Eastwick station of the R1 Airport line. That means one can travel easily to Center City Philadelphia in about 15 minutes, every half hour. Very nice. Since all the hotels in Philly are pretty expensive unless you book several months in advance, I think this location is a good value. It's not the Hilton by any stretch of the imagination, but I would consider staying at this hotel in the future. It definitely ranks up near the top for "budget/economy"-type lodging.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is 5 minutes from the airport, and one block from a train stop that takes you into the Center City of Philadelphia - the historic areas, museums, etc. We rode the train in on several days and found it a great way to go. Get an all-day pass for trains and buses - take buses up and down Market Street (ask the train conductor about this). The motel accommodations are simple, clean, and the price is the most reasonable we could find. Airport noise doesn't bother - you could occasionally hear a very faint sound when a plane took off. The continental breakfast is basic but handy. Walk to a restaurant a block away. Very convenient - a free shuttle to the airport is available 24 hours, leaving on the hour and half hour. Call them when you arrive and they will pick you up.

Arrived late, was upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. Comfortable room. Prompt shuttle service -- very helpful driver.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel because of the location,cleanliness and it was the most economical.

Our purpose was to use the airport shuttle which is free and excellent because of the frequency of the runs. Staff is also helpful and friendly. However, when checking in make sure you mention that you will be parking there (which is NOT free and NOT included in your price on Orbitz) you will pay $6.95 + tax per night (the night of your stay is free)and there is a card you must display in your vehicle, but it is worth it. The shuttle was also very prompt in picking us up on the return trip. A little noisy due to proximity to PHL airport, but the a/c pretty much drowns it out. This was the second time we used this hotel because of its location to the airport and the shuttle service and were pleased each time.

The rooms are plain and simple. Perfect for anyone that is not planning on spending much time in the room.

short stay, clean price was good for location

THE MICROTEL IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOTEL CHAINS, HOWEVER THIS ONE ISN'T THE BEST. IT DOESN'T ALLOW FOR THE AUX CHANNEL SO THEREFORE I COULDN'T PLAY MY DVDS. THERE IS NO FRIDGE OR MICROWAVE. THE STAFF IS COURTEOUS, THEY ALLOWED ME TO CHECK IN HOURS EARLY WITH NO FEE. IT IS CLEAN. RUBY TUESDAY'S IS A 5 MIN WALK IF YOU FEEL LIKE DINNING OUT. ALSO SEPTA REGIONAL RAIL IS VERY CLOSE. I WOULD STAY AGAIN.NOT THE BEST VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY,BUT IT'S VERY CLOSE.
