Hyatt at The Bellevue

Our family booked 2 nights at the Hyatt for New Year's. The hotel looked nice at first, but our stay quickly went downhill. Less that 30 min. in our room and the toilet starts to overflow all over the bathroom. The toilet was fixed quickly, but the clean up and fresh towels took the next 12 hours to try to get. We also waited just as long to get a working television. The staff seemed to have more excuses that answers for us. For what we paid, we definately expected better.

We had dinner at XIX and drinks in the bar several times. We also had dessert in the bar. We loved the hotel. Only negative comment is that some maintenance needs to be done, such as windowsills that are in need of repair and repainting. However, the hotel is a grand place.

A convenient place to stay after a downtown party allowing us to avoid having to drive home late at night. The hotel was two blocks from the party and was hugely convenient. Latge comfy bed, large room, TV with all the little amenities one expects. The Bellevue (I like the old name. I'm a Philadelphian) has great bones, nice big room, high ceiling, wide hall, wide stair, etc though it shows its age, I still like it. Wallpaper needs replacing. Bathroom has good water and amenities. Can't get two at the sink at the same time though.

Our reservation for a double queen room was not honored. They did upgrade us to a large king room, however that meant there was more room for the roll away bed my son had to sleep on. I specifically chose this hotel because they offered double queen rooms.

The hotel room was amazing, we were on the conservatory level and had a huge private outdoor room. Beds were comfortable, linens soft, bathroom and closet large. It was lovely. The location is also very nice. However, for $500 a night there was no internet, no complementary parking, and no pick up service from the airport.

This is a nice hotel, centrally located. I'm allergic to A/C, so having windows that open is super-important and so hard to find.

We enjoyed the spacious well decorated room,a very comfy king bed, and a restaurant with a wonderful view of the cityscape. Close to museums.

We wanted to experience some of the older architecture and got what we expected. It was very comfortable and central to many of the areas that we wanted to walk to.

We went to the opera, it was 2 blocks away, the trip was perfect

[...] this hotel is NOTHING like the description. First, it's not a Park Hyatt. We found out after we got there that it had been downgraded to a regular Hyatt. No big deal except the whole reason I chose this hotel was for the amenities. There hasn't been any renovation. It looks like it did 100 years ago. I love old architecture and this hotel has a lot of character but I want what I was promised. We had a pipe break and water pour into our room while we were there. Again, we could deal, things happen - until we were told that we couldn't be moved because they were "sold out" (which was not even close to the truth) but they would discount our room. We in no uncertain terms told them they either moved us or gave us our money back. After more complaining, we finally got a new room and no discount for the hassle. For the most part the staff was nice (except for that situation) and the beds are super comfy. Aside from that, there isn't a marble tub, robes, airport shuttle or anything else [...] - except for the fitness club, which was nice. Seriously, this was a joke and I CANNOT RECOMMEND this hotel [...]
