Very Nice Hotel
Terri Nov 23, 2009
We planned this trip to see a Philadelphia Eagles game and take in a few of the historic sites of Philadelphia. Since we only ... had a day and a half, this hotel had the perfect location to go sightseeing. Everything you would want to see in Philadelphia was only a block or two away. We did have to drive anywhere to see sights like the Liberty Bell, Independance Hall, and Benjamin Franklin's old homesite. The staff was very helpful and knew exactly what we were looking for, even when we didn't know! The only issue I really had was we left the "do not disturb" sign on our door and someone come into the room anyway. We knew this because the lights were turned off and the towels from our shower had been removed from the room.

Smaller Room then Most in Hotel....
bugs320 Oct 11, 2009
Although hotel was clean, the room was smaller than the others, and the food cost in the hotel resturant was high in respect ... for the quality of food received. Location was good to the histroric area of town, however a fire station is on the NE corner of the intersection the hotel is located on, and the noise of continual fire truck sirens durning the night was upsetting.

We enjoyed walking to the historic sites of Philadelphia, and to the great restaurants on Market St. right around the ... corner. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The one thing we found lacking was a small refrigerator for our leftovers, and the view out our window was not great. The area was quiet and we felt safe at night.

This hotel is in the perfect location. Public transportation was convenient to and from the airport. Dropped off a student ... at Penn, transportation was close by. In the heart of the historic district, close to everything. Many fantastic restaurants all within walking distance! The people at the front desk were very knowledgeable and gave us all kinds of useful information! I would definitely stay here my next trip to Philadelphia......

The location was great for seeing the historic sites. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful ... and enthusiastic. We would have liked the pool water to be a tad warmer - the water was very cold and with the breeze from being on top of the roof, it was chilly! All in all, a very good hotel and we would recommend it to others.

Over Night Stay
Sleepy Juror Jul 8, 2009
The room itself was very nice. The bed was pillow soft and extra pillows were provided. The decor was up to date. However, it ... was stuck behind a wall at the end of a hall. Right next to the room was the exit to the stairwell where people where coming in and out all night because there was no smoking in the hotel except for the stair well which had built in ashtrays right in the steps. The noise from the street was pretty loud too. Awoke to sevral people chating outside the front entrance very early. The room was located on the second floor. I liked the room but would not have stayed another night.
Traveler type: Business
The hotel is located only one block from most of the historic sites. It is also only one block from the Distric Court House where I needed to be first thing on the moring. It was nice not having to rush in the morning or worry about transportation. A parking garage was provided. A little confusing to get to because of the one way streets.

Ideal Location, Great Customer Service
Blue Skies Jun 23, 2009
This Holiday Inn was excellent. The customer service was top-notch. Parking was discounted since we were guests at the hotel ... which was also a plus. The location is just 1 block away from the Independence Hall and Liberty Bell so we were able to see a lot of Philly in the short time we were there. The hotel is also near the Betsy Ross House and tons of other A+ attractions in Philly. And for the coffee addict, there is also a Starbucks about 1 block away. Initially, I thought the price was too expensive as I typically stay at more budget hotels. But the location seemed ideal and I really wanted to see as much as possible during my short stay. The extra expense was well worth it. I could not have asked for a better place to stay and will stay there again the next time I am in Philly.
