good location at good price

Very close to all the historical sites, right next to Reading Terminal, a block to the $2 trolley that takes you out to river and to art museums, next to China town with excellent food, very good value, very friendly staff who say hello in the halls, nice lobby with a gas fire and plenty of chairs, sofa and little tables for eating. Parking was easy, and it was easy to find from I-95 and Franklin Bridge. The bed was extremely comfortable with a nice comforter and pillows. Quiet too.

Philly is great

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hilton Garden Inn. The room was large and had every thing you would want, frig, microwave, coffee. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had hot apple cidar and cookies at 5PM. That was a nice surprise.

Location

The location of this hotel is perfect. Can walk anywhere you want and for far away things one can just take the subway. Hotel room was pretty good, and we were happy with it. Gym was very small in case that is an issue. We were there on a Wednesday night and the area was dead. We found a great bar in McGillans.

Convient location for convention

I attended a function at the Convention Center. Great location - walking distance from Independance Hall & Liberty Bell. Room was noisy with sirens & bus back-up beepers all night long.

Fun filled weekend!

Great location! We were able to walk to all of the sights...Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Society Hill, South Street, etc. My boyfriend and I went for Columbus Day Weekend (2009) and had a fantastic time. It wasn't too crowded, the city was extremely clean and there was a ton to do! We saw a lot of families, couples and groups of friends. The great thing about Philly is that all of the historic sites and museums are really cheap or FREE! One complaint: The Hilton Garden oversold Saturday and unfortunately sold our room. It was okay though because [...] the Hilton relocated us to a different Hilton next to UPenn (very classy). All in all...GREAT TRIP!

Perfect Location in Philly

The Hilton is one block from the train station, so for anyone traveling from out-of-state, it is the perfect location. Even better is that it is only a few blocks from many tourist attractions- the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Jefferson Square, the National Constitution Center, the US Mint (which has free self-guided tours!), and is situated almost directly on top of a mall. If you need to go to Thomas Jefferson Hospital, it is an extremely short walk. The value was great for the amenities, I would definitely recommend the Hilton Garden!

Great for families not the young adult

Hotel was easily accessible from the highway and a short walk to many popular tourist locations, varying from 5 to 15 minutes. The room was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. There is a garage connected to the hotel that is extremely expensive, however, there are many other non-covered garages close by that I would recommend using. While the hotel was clean and staff was friendly I would recommend this hotel for parents looking to go to Philly with their kids and not for night owls. The hotel was extremely noisy in the morning with families opening and closing doors and yelling to one another in the hallway getting ready for the day. If you are looking to stay out late on the town and sleep in a bit this is not the hotel for you. Other than inconsiderate guests yelling in the hallway I would recommend this hotel.
