A suite-hotel set in the middle of the action, the Embassy Suites Hotel Philadelphia combines apartment-style flexibility with free extras like breakfast and drinks at the evening Manager's Reception. An airy, high-windowed lobby welcomes guests, who can then cook whatever they like in the in-suite kitchenette before stepping onto the balcony overlooking Benjamin Franklin Parkway when the meal is done. Head over to the Business Link center if you have emails to send and websites to browse (fees may apply). Everything needed for a comfortable visit is provided for, with an on-site gym and convenience store. If you get hungry, you don't need to look far - TGI Friday's restaurant chain has a branch inside the hotel for classics from the grill.

Musuem trip

loved the hotel, rooms are very large with a terrace. The museums are in view. Breakfast was a bit of a madhouse, but it was Memorial weekend. They have an Saturday night free cocktail hour it was very nice and an off set to the breakfast. A shout out to Philadelphia tango! It was well worth the taxi ride over there from the hotel.

Embassy Suites is the best!

We were museum hopping in Philly and this location is the BEST- a short walk away from the Philadelphia museum and our room terraces overlooked the main fountain area and Philadelphia. The free breakfast buffet was terrific and the cocktail hour free alchohol drinks(not just wine and beer) were a major plus after a long day of touring.LOVE Embassy suites, and now my friend who never were there before do too!.

Good location, needs improvement

A friend and I were attending an event at the Museum of Art and wanted a nearby hotel so we could walk to the museum the next morning. The hotel was in a great location for this! The staff was quite unfriendly at check in. When I called to double check my directions prior to arrival, the woman told me directions, but failed to mention the road in front of the hotel was closed, so we had to circle the block for 20 minutes and ended up making an illegal uturn. Oops. We checked in with the same woman, and she was not any friendlier. Hotel was nice looking. Parking was a nightmare though. Room was spacious with a good view. They could take a few lessons in cleanliness though... found a lot of hair around the place & in a cup. Ew. The woman at the desk in the evening was awesome. So much nicer and very helpful with directions for local area sites. Overall, good location for a brief stay in Philly.

nice place, good breakfast, bad parking

We booked our stay here to see the Phillies take on the Astros to begin the 2011 season. The hotel was located within walking distance from the Philadelphia museum of Art (Rocky stairs) and a quick 10 minute walk to lots of shopping at Liberty Center. Hop on the Broad Street Line to go to the sports complex, about 8 dollars per per round trip. The hotel was very nice and clean, and had awonderful breakfast buffet. The rooms were very spacious and well kept. The water was rather hard, but this is a Philly problem. My only complaint is with the parking. 42 dollars a night with valet only parking. There are cheaper options right around the hotel, 28-32 a night. Not much better, but better nonetheless. All in all, I enjoyed my stay, but will definitely be looking for a cheaper parking option in the area!

Good Solid Stay

Courteous, efficient valet parking. $42 to park all in overnight which seems steep but par for the course. Suite was very nice and spacious w/ 2 doubles, 2 tvs, kitchenette, seating area etc. Buffet breakfast was a little hectic and crowded but they kept bringing out the food. Managers reception was very good.

This Place is GREAT!!

This is the best suite we've ever stayed in!! The rooms are HUGE!! Well appointed, with a table and four chairs in addition to a desk with a separate pull out rectangular table. The wet bar, bath, nightstand and occasional tables are all granite surfaced. Nice touch! The king-sized bed felt fantastic! The manager's reception includes an open bar, and the complimentary breakfast, at in-house TGI Friday's, is full-menu buffet. What's not to like?!?! We've found our hotel in Philadelphia. We'll definitely stay here again!
