This is a very nice hotel. Friendly staff, good restaurant, free breakfast in the morning & happy hour in the evening, There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The only thing lacking was "Pay per view" movies for the evening when we were too tired to go out.

Lacking for an Embassy Suites
We have stayed at many Embassy Suites, for business and pleasure and have always been very satisfied. We have also used Orbitz, Travelosity, Expedia, etc without incident. Our only request is "non smoking". For Philadelphia, which we have never been, we went through Orbitz and obtained two separate bookings at Embassy at the Airport. On initial arrival we were told "oh you have made full payment" and given a room. The room reaked of the odor of cigarette smoke. We returned to the desk to change rooms and indicated we had requested non smoking accommodations. The clerk indicated that when you make reservations through Expedia, Travelosity or Orbitz, they are provided a block of rooms which are the hotels smoking rooms and accessible rooms for persons with disabilities. He reported the only availability was a meeting/sleeping suite. This appeared odd as the hotel did not appear as busy or active as many of the properties where we have stayed. Upon our subsequent stay we were asked if we had a wheelchair, again, it was apparent that the type and quality of accommodations was driven by the mode of purchase. However, this young man provided the expected accommodations. It is our hope that should we stay with Hilton/Embassy again that we receive accommodations consistent with the expectation set at booking.

I didn't get put into the room I requested. I asked for a non-smoking, king bed room. I was put in a room that smelled like smoke and had two double beds. When I brought it to their attention, they switched rooms immediately with no questions asked. There weren't any stores close by. The price was normal. The staff was more than friendly. They dropped what they were doing and helped with anything that I asked. Every staff should be that helpful.

Staff was helpful in meeting my needs. Hotel was close to sports complexes (for Philly fans). Breakfast and evening drinks/snack was very nice. I would definitely return.

Excellent
Embassey Suites located at the Philadelphia Airport is the best. My family enjoyed daily breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot water, cheerful workers who are willing and ready to assist you instantly. I was mentioning to someone on the elevator my door not closing properly. Apparently, one worker overheard me and asked for the room number. Before I reached my room the door was fixed. I booked separate rooms for each of my daughters with their spouses and 3 month old babies. Each room accompanied a crib for each new granddaughter and because the rooms were adjacent; I could visit both families simultaneously. We had a wonderful time and staying at such a great hotel made our "gophilly.com" experience a memerable success.

Nightlife tip:
Not Applicable
Unfortunately, we first went to Penn's Landing only to find it a ghost town. What happened? We had to find our way to South Street which, was interesting and intriguing; however, is that all?

The hotel was fine for a one-night stay while in transit or prior to an early PHL depatrture.

Great Hotel
Great Location, Great Staff, Nice Rooms, Food was enjoyable. HOWEVER, they advertised early check in and I waited 3 hours for my room and it would have been longer had I not agreed to a 'SMOKING ROOM." NOT GOOD Also, I had to clean my bathroom mirror. It had not been touched since the last patron.
