Lack Luster
I have stayed at this hotel a few times and don't expect much when I do. This trip I attempted to eat the continental breakfast. It was less than continental. I don't think the staff really cared about how things were as they seem to be the only game in the area. There really needs to be another hotel close by to give them some much needed competition.

What happen to the continental breakfast? The advertisement was that you would have a continental breakfast and there was none.

The Days Inn was a good, clean hotel.
The hotel was a good and clean. For the most part, the hotel is in need of remodelling. Many of the doors had dents in them. I don't know why they were dented, but it makes you think that the "SWAT" team came though looking for a criminal. The dented doors made me wonder concerning hotel security. The "continental breakfast" however left much to be desired. Breakfast items were very limited. The time of operation did not permit "sleeping in". Breakfast time was, I believe 6:00 until 9:00. If you slept past 9:00 you missed out on breakfast. Overall, my stay at the hotel was good.

Unpleasantly surprised
Won't be returning
We only needed to stay overnight for a college visit the next day. Knew we'd be arriving late and leaving early. Check-in is done through what appeared to be bullet proof glass with a speaker and slot to slide information back and forth. The room was dirty (could probably grow crops in the stuff in the air conditioner). The bathroom light did not come on until it had been on for over an hour, so we did not turn it off. Before that, it just kept strobing. There is significant rust on the doorways, crud on the edges of the floor/doors. It really was just gross. Didn't see anything else in the hotel except for the lobby and our room due to late arrival/early check out.

My Stay at Days inn In Philly
Checking is seemed like the front desk person was put out, not friendly and rude. Unable to get directions or asssistance w directions. The (breakfast) was horrible and a VERY small selection, fruit cups with no fruit for example. Sadly we are coming back to Philladelphia in Summer of 2010 and will not even consider another stay at this hotel especially with my children. we were unable to get incoming calls for the first 2 days of they stay because the phones were set for messages only, not sure why and it was a problem getting this fixed...sad over Thanksgiving we couldnt speak to our family. I would not recommend this hotel to any other traveler unless you had NO otehr option for hotels. When we picked up our rental car we even asked the front desk if we needed to check the vehicle in and he (not sure the name) snapped at my husband NO very gruff....sorry we thought that was standard procedure at hotels to give them your vehicle information.
