Great stay
The hotel isn't too far from most places. The hotel was clean and nice. They serve breakfast from 7am to 11am but at around 10 most of the food is gone so be there early if you want breakfast but everything else was great.

Okay stay
My stay at the location was okay but the room lacked a closet for storage. I was also surprised about the $20 parking fee that I was charged. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice and clean
My friend and I stayed for four nights and had a really good time! The room is clean and comfortable, however there was some noise because the hotel is close to the bridge.

Not Good
I stayed at this hotel for 1 night while interviewing in the area. Firstly, the location is very awkward. It is across the highway from central Philadelphia, so if walking you have to cross on an overpass 10 minutes away. There is a shuttle but the driver had not shown up when I needed to take it in the morning. I was put in a HORRIBLE smoking room on the second floor facing a parking lot (where there were people loitering in cars in the middle of the night). I had specifically requested a non-smoking room and HATE the smell of cigarette smoke, but since I booked online, could not get a room change! The rates of this place were also incredibly overpriced for the dated, dirty (stained and sticky carpet!) look of the rooms. The beds were saggy and each queen bed had three, small, square, lumpy pillows. Stay away.

Good location and amenities
Nice to be in historic part of town, right by the pier, and it is walkable to city center. The included breakfast and free shuttle service within 20 block radius are great bonuses. Room smelled like cigarette smoke, but was otherwise clean and just fine. Staff were helpful but not overly friendly. Good value to stay here.

Good location to Old Town, but low level hotel
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was musty, the bed stiff and lopsided, but I slept ok. The free breakfast was nice, but outside of bananas, it was all carbs and coffee. No eggs, no bacon, no potatos. There was a waffle maker, cold cereal or instant oatmeal, breads and biscuits and gravy. The eating area was packed and the food picked over in the middle of the service. The cheapest I could get this room was $164, but it should have been $99. Compared to the other Old Town options it was comparatively a deal. The walk to Old Town and the Independence Hall area is easy. I was going to the Arden Theatre and it was less than a 10 minute walk. If you care that your hotel stay is part of the enjoyment of a trip, this isn't the place. If all you care about is a place to sleep, then this place will serve and save you at least half the money you might spend at better hotels in the area.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
It is a short walk to 2nd Street, which contains the Arden Theatre for plays and musicals and quite a nice choice of restaurants. It also has a good stretch of art galleries, a used bookstore and a vinyl record shop.

Eh.
Reserved a room for an out of town guest. It was a last minute reservation and it was the only option in my price range. I knew it wasn't a fancy hotel, but I didn't know it was so dingy. The lobby looks awful - like it's been cleaned too many times, but is still dirty. There was a problem with the reservation that the desk attendant blamed on the shift before her, and was only resolved because we came up with a solution. I was embarrassed to have booked a room here for my guest.

Philly couch crasher
Weekend trip
I needed change from my regular trip to Philly. I would normally crash on a friends couch and should have this time too. Other than the lobby, the place smelled like smoke, even in my non-smoking room. There was still hair in the shower from God know who. Not a "comfortable" place to stay.

The hotel is on major roads and noisy. The rooms are dirty (switched rooms and the second one was dirty too). The equipment does not work, ie room phones and 3 of 4 ice machines. Had several problems and the staff did not seem to care. When I spoke to the manager he showed even less concern then the staff. Because of this hotel we will never ever stay in another Comfort Inn, This was our first and last experience with that chain. A business associate joined us one night and had the same problems in her room.
