Wingate by Wyndham Mechanicsburg

Everything was fine except that we could hear normal conversations and TV from adjacent rooms as if there was no wall between. How could they spend all that money building a nice hotel and not put a little sound proofing in the walls? Since I didn't see any other reviewers mention this, maybe it was just our room that they forgot to sound proof. The complimentary breakfast wasn't all that great either.

This hotel was AWESOME! Lots of room in the suite. The hotel is very clean and the people were very nice. The pool and whirlpool area were very well kept. The price was great and we will definitely stay there again!

Everything about my stay was perfect except for getting there. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable (loved the bed) and accomodating. Great breakfast. The sfaff was friendly. Whirlpool was great for relaxing. And although there weren't many restaurant choicesin the immediate vicinity (a few fast food and one sit-down type which was actually across the parking lot) , the highway was very easily accessible and the restaurants were within an easy drive. The value was incredible. I picked up a really sweet deal online at less than half the regular room rate. My only complaint is the signage. It was dark & rainy when I arrived. The sign marking the driveway entrance is only about 18" square and at ground level. There was no light on it and the drivewas itself was dark. It leads to one restaurant and a few other hotels but you would never know they are back there. A bigger sign & some street lights would be fantastic. Other than that I highly recommend The Wingate.

I've been to Wyndham Hotels in New Orleans, Harrisburg, and now Mechanicsburg. They seem to offer the best value. I select hotels based on reviews and price and Wyndham has recently floated to the top every time, without any conscious decision to go with them when I start searching. From now on, they may be my hotel of choice b/c they combine value + service.

Room and amenities were very good. Location was perfect for our visits to Hershey and Gettysburg. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was very poorly planned as it is about 15' from I-15 a very noisy road...If you nmplan on getting some sleep, sleep in the odd numbered rooms (even numbers right next to highway). The cooling system in my room was shot and resulted in alot of starting and stopping or the system while trying to sleep. I would be embarrassed to calaim ownership of this hotel. Thje jacoussi was cold and the pool was hot (just the opposite of what one would expect)?>

They have everything you need in a hotel. Convenient to food (Cracker Barrel you can walk to in 3 minutes) and many more restaurants close by. On site Gym Room , pool, spa, etc. Rooms has everything you could need, Great for business trips or just a family getaway. Staff is excellent. Bed wasn't bad but could have been better. Overall much better then most hotels we have stayed at. Will make this the hotel we stay in as we go to this area at least once a year. Will also recommend to friends going to that area.

This hotel was close to the highway but not close to Hershey at all. Also I called to get directions to the hotel from Hershey park and the person who gave me the directions got us lost due to leaving out a part of the directions. The room was ok but the pictures make it look bigger than it was, the beds were very uncomfortable. The bathroom had a funny smell but looked clean. The breakfast was very good, and the girl that set up the breakfast was very very nice and accommodating! And to top it all off the reason I picked this hotel is because it said that they had an indoor HEATED pool, the pool was not heated. There are alot of hotels that are closer to Hershey in the surrounding towns for the same price.

The signs for the hotel are really small and it makes it hard to find the hotel at night. Some problems with reservation but the staff was very helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend a stay.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
