not good

Going by the ramada inn website which stated outdoor pool, tennis courts and basketball court we went with it. upon check in with my son and his basketball in hand the clerk said the hoop and tennis courts are in the back of the establishment.what he didnt say was the hoop was ripped of the backboard and lying in disrepair on ground and the tennis court was in shambles and the outdoor pool was green from an algae bloom!! YUCK>>> we went back and nicely complianed ,he said he wasnt sure if the maintance staff would be able to fix hoop.housekeeping forgot to clean our room, the "fitness center" had one bike from 1980 and a treadmill that was not in working order.the complmentry breakfast was a fly swatting adventure. The indoor pool was ok but the adjoining suana look like a storage locker of old chairs not in use but the door to it was open as if in use. with a lot of repair work it woukd be nice, golf course view in back and right across from Dutch wonderland.

Comfortable. Convenient. No wifi.

The Ramada is a fine deal. The price was very reasonable compared to other Lancaster venues. I easily made the commute back and forth to my meetings downtown and WOW heated tile bathroom floors! The hotel description said there was free wifi, but the reality was there was less than one bar of strength so I was never able to get online during my two-night stay. That's a game changer in today's world. If that's no issue for you, you'll have a satisfactory stay.

There is a California Tortilla very close. If you're looking for a healthy meal while traveling, you can grab a great salad very conveniently.

Sad Story - we were locked in by prepaynig so we stayed.

As soon as we arrived we said we were gladf we had not brought friends with us. We were embarrassed at the condition of the facility. It is an old run down 1970's building rather falling apoart. The continental breakfast was riduculous - week old dry har french toast day after day - the same toast as the day or week before. The facilities are BAD shape. I'm sure the staff does what they can with what they have. I don't know why this hotel is even open. Starting from the old building code entrance to the rusting and corroding balcony railings and the elevator which is so old it may still use "Old Ropes" for lifting. I cannot believe the Company managing the hotel would even bother - the occupancy rate was in the single digits. A few more unfortunate travelers at week ends. Of near 200 rooms the bottom floor is a wreck. The signs stayed "under construction" but it would take a million dollars to bring this facility to acceptable levels for actual use.

Good getaway

This hotel is right across from Dutch wonderland which was perfect and near restaurants. Great pool for the kids. The AC was not working and wifi did not work and another bad thing was that the rooms do not have a fridge. The staff was not a big help either.

I don't recomend this hotel at all

I arrived at 6 o'clock to the hotel and they weren't able to found my reservation so I had to wait 15 mints. Then my room wasnt clean and they did not know how long could that take. The elevator was awful. The bathtub was dirty and the room smelled of cigarette. The only thing I liked was the pool but I think I wasted my money on that hotel.

Cost Effective

Needed four rooms to come down with the family. Hotel was clean and in a great location. Indoor pool kept the kids occupied and with plenty of activities in the area it was perfect for the price. Recommend they spend time fixing the plumbing since the showers were not in good working order. Staff was very accommodating when I asked to transfer to the other side of the hotel since the street side can be pretty noisy but they made everything right! Thanks we will stay again!

Ramada Inn Problems

Arrived and checked in at approximately 9:30 p.m. on a friday evening. The room appeared clean and hat a king bed as I had requested. We turned on the air-conditioning unit as the room was stuffy. A short time later we smelled and observed smoke coming from the electrical box that the heater/cooling unit was plugged into. When I wiggled the plug, there were sparks visiable. I contacted the desk and reported the problem. The desk clerk didn't seem very concerned untill I threatned to contact the Fire Marshal. She then put us into another room, a suite. This room had other problems, liquid leaking from a cealing air vent into the powder room and the door to the deck was bolted shut. The free breakfast was lacking also. I would not recomend this Hotel to any other traveler.
