We had two rooms for seven days, would have immediatley moved if hadn't been prepaid. Upon check-in noticed both rooms smelled. One room had hair and empty shampoo bottle in the shower, the other had empty shampoo bottle and gritty dirty bathtub.
Air conditioners smelled and messsed with our sinuses and allergies. There were old cigarette butts mashed out on the back porch that stayed there all week, and a huge pile of dog mess on the adjacent sidewalk that stayed there for several days till we asked them to clean it up. They did, but left the adjacent cigarette butts and litter that was scattered around the porch. Needs a total restaffing.
I stayed at the Howard Johnson for a weekend in June, which is prime season. We were going to a local brewery in the area and it was in a great location. Room was not glorious but suited our needs for the weekend. Only downfall was that you could
hear people running around above us (we were on ground level) all in all it was a decent experience.
Very nice. the rooms were comfortable and the staff was very nice. They have a nice pool that is heated. For 67 dollars its well worth what I paid. others hotels wanted over 100 a block away. I would stay here again.
Overall the hotel is pleasant, staff are nice & helpful, not far from main attractions. Its not expensive so u can't expect it to be superior. Free breakfast. It did the job for an overnight. Wouldn't stay for long though
We arrived early evening of July 2nd after a long day in Philadelphia. We had made a mistake with our reservation which the desk clerk was able to change for us. Rooms are basic, but clean. Each room has a refrigerator which was very nice! Found
the continental breakfast more than adequate. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Overall, it was a great value for the location near Hershey sites!

Short drive from hotel
If planning a day a Hershey Park, you can go in at Sunset (5:00 p.m.) and pay 1/2 price. We had more than enough time to enjoy the rides. Also, was very impressed with the ZooAmerica next to Hershey Park.
Was pleasantly surprised with our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, the hotel bar was great, and the location was fantastic. Only a 5 minute drive from the park and other attractions. Overall for the price a very good value.
