plesant surprise for the budget traveler
I travel with some frequency, and often the only difference between a $75/night hotel and a $175/night hotel is a hundred dollars. But when you get into the realm of $50/night, things can get scary. But this motel was a very plesant surprise. The wi-fi was blazing fast and easy to use, the room was clean, warm and pretty, and you could tell the entire building is maintained by someone who really cares. The lady at the front desk was terribly nice.

Short drive from hotel
If you're traveling with kids and don't know Hazelton, eat before you get off the exit. The hotel seems to be in an area completely devoid of kid-friendly eating facilities or grocery stores, but that's not a big inconvenience as long as you plan ahead.

Horrible!
I booked here because of good reviews but it was so bad I refused to stay there! One look at the place I went back to request a refund because I was not staying, refund was refused by unfriendly staff. Zero stars!

Well certainly not a four star
Motel was rated four star but our friends stayed in a Holiday Inn Express and it was only rated 3 star and their motel was new and tons nicer. Ours was old and dingy. You know the kind with dirt in the corners. Dirty chairs etc. Oh well. Motel was also not in a very appealing part of town. Not sure the town has ANY appealing parts though.

this was quite ok. The only thing that was missing in the room was a chair for the desk (ouch!) although there were two armchairs. Quiet place not at a major road (important to me!).

Great for a weekend adventure
Everything about my stay was great, the room was clean and pretty nice considering what I paid. Was great for my trip, was doing some kayaking in Jim Thorpe, and was only about 15-20 minutes away. It was nice to not have to drive through Hazelton, as the roads are horrible on that town. My only one thing that was inconvenient was that their wasn't a lot of eating options wich meant that I had to drive all the way to the other side of Hazelton to eat. Other than that it was a great place to stay

Very Pleasant
The manager was very nice. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean. We attended a concert nearby and had a great time!

You get what you pay for
When I arrived and walked in the motor inn, there was no one in the small, dank office. Guests were alerted to ring a bell and someone came from another room. The room was dark and threadbare. It wasnot obviously dirty but I did not inspect it too closely. The sheets and towels seemed to be clean so that was a plus. There was no one there when I checked out in the morning.

Nothing much. had to drive all over on a Saturday morning before finding fast food chains for breakfast. Was looking for a diner but nothing in the immediate area.
