Super 8 Harrisburg Hershey West

Super 8 was convenient and a great value for an overnight stay that cost us just $54 after tax. It was quiet and convenient to highways, but it was a bit old and worn. Cleanliness was good, and service was friendly. Would stay here again in a pinch but not a "destination" hotel.

I picked this hotel because of its location so close to 322 (working in Hershey for the weekend), and the low price. Turned out to be more than suitably clean and comfortable for someone who just needed a good bed and otherwise was out of the room.

It was close to both the Farm Show Complex and a couple restaurants and stores right down the street including McDonald's, Applebee's, Chili's and Subway. The room did not have that funky smell. The hotel could use a renovation. The night check in clerk was a little scary. Other than that the room was very quiet. I slept like a log.

After a transatlantic flight, the friendly staff, convenient location and comfortable beds were really welcome. A good value which served our purposes fully.

Single overnight stay en route to points east. Rickety furniture (desk chair) and concave, sloping mattress were just barely OK. Had to search for a working light switch.

Although the room was somewhat clean, I wouldnt say it was anything to rave about; didn't offer much and was very gloomy, no toiletries, no microwave, extra unknown fee charged at the end of my visit and overall unsatisfied.

No issues.very nice. Rooms clean Staff helpful finding locations. Would easily repeat this visit.

I WAS THERE TO SEE FAMILY ,,, TWO SET FROM MOMS SIDE AND DAD SIDE SO DIDNT WANT TO HURT ANYONES FEELINGS SO STAYED HERE .. WHEN I TRAVEL I ALWAYS TAKE MY OWN TOWELS ITS JUST ME ... I LOVE BLEACH THE TOWELS COULD OF BEEN A BIT WHITER... MY LAST TRIP WAS TO FL.STAYED AT A HOTEL FOR ONE NIGHT AFTER CHECKING OUTTA A HOUSE .. WAS GONG HOME THE NEXT DAY AND THERE WAS ROACHES IN THE ROOM THEN I CALLED THE FRONT DESK THEY MOVED ME TO ANOTHER ROOM JUST TO FIND OUT THAT THERE WAS ROACHES THERE TOOOO.... I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS A CLEAN PLACE

Arrived at 6 pm, was advised there was a bed "accident" and the two bed room was not available (actually someone urinated on the second bed earlier in the week)Would one bed be ok, we agreed. FIRST mistake. Upon entering the room there was indeed only one bed as the other entire bed had been removed.The pillows were so thin I would not let my cat sleep on em. The TV guide stated Game Show on 73 just static, FREE movies on channel 8 more static. Granted I am a smoker (Boo now) but the phone in the room had enough nicotine on it I could have smoked that and saved some $s. How hard is it to wipe the phone occasionally, There was no phone book or bible in the room. Went to office to get additional pillows and a second ashtray. Clerk stated he would find them and bring em up. Went out to dinner. Returned at 8:15 pm nothing brought, called front desk clerk states mgr is out will be back shortly and he has the keys.9:00 pm went to office now the manager has returned from NJ and is with family and cannot be disturbed (I was disturbed already) I advised if I did not have these items within 30 minutes we would not stay the next night. USed the phonebook at front desk to look up phone number of a nearby motel. About 10 minutes later the rude clerk knocked handed me the stuff and said "HERE" not sorry sir here they are or something like that.I had it by then called the Travelodge nearby they had a two bed room at the same rate booked it and packed up.Stopped at office to hand in keys and was yelled at by clerk for my being rude and not understanding.[...] the clerk was the only employee (except for mysterious manager) and he was surfing the internet while trying to service guests. What would happen if an accident or worse happened on the premises. I can tell you he would have ran screaming like a little girl into the night.I have traveled for close to 40 years both on business and pleasure and I would not refer my worst enemy to this location or possibly any Super 8I cannot understand why Orbitz would even list this dump on line.

This Super 8 Hotel was located just 8 short miles from Hershey Park and other popular Hershey attractions. The price and location of the hotel in regards to Hershey and its attractions, was the main reason I chose to stay there. The staff were very pleasant and helpful with directing me to popular food and shopping establishments in the area. The rooms were large, clean and tastefully decorated. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit the area.
