Howard Johnson Inn Harrisburg

I stayed here for a night. It's close to the airport and close to everything else in town, too. I was given a coupon for 20% off a meal from the restaurant next door - it looked great, and if I hadn't been alone, I would have gone! I opted for a sub from the pizza place on the other side of the hotel instead (also good). The room was clean, everything worked, and I got a good night's sleep before my job interview! Thanks!

I've stayed at the this hotel before - new management. Friendly. It's a bit close to the highway, so trucks can be heard... but of you're looking for top shelf, this is not your dive. Breakfast is simple yet very convenient for a business person. And the brew pub next door makes it all worth it.

First room had a moldy smell. Requested another room, and the staff apologized. However, the second room still had a moldy smell just not as strong.

I had a pleasurable stay at this hotel. Very clean room with four of the softest pillows I ever felt in a hotel. Staff was very nice to me upon arrival and checked me in quickly. They had an October-fest going on, either there or next door. which they gave me a coupon to get in free. Though I didn't attend it was nice of them to offer. I needed to check out college football games ending up on a nice TV and update more of them on their free WiFi, that was offered. Some hotel/motels put WiFi under their amenities, only to find out there is a fee. Not here. Thanks for the enjoyable stay.

This property is tired and needs an overall freshening. Place smelled very musty....I think there was a flood recently on the first floor. To their credit the room was fairly clean. Everything worked and the bed was pretty comfortable. The location is good. Staff was friendly. The food at Ale house next door was Very disappointing!!!!

Room was okay. Bathroom was not good at all, toilet ran our whole stay and there was mold growing in between the tiles.

Big, clean rooms. Good service. Very close to main highways.

great value $65 beats $200+ a night for 5 miles closer and no extra for 3 kids. room clan staff great good use a liitle help on the breakfest but for the price a winner

First night there, we turn down the covers to find hair and a toe nail clipping- gross! Nice night manager was kind enough to hand me new sheets so that we could remake our own bed at 11pm. Free breakfast is a joke, more like a mob style kinder-zoo, we walked in, attempted to get food, gave up and drove to nearby sheetz. Location is very good, near everything! Some days we would get 2 towels and no bath mat, some days 3 towels, and one day, we got 4 towels and a bathmat and thought we had won the lottery. Hosuekeeping is very inconsistent to say the least. Never checked out pool, outdoors. Final recomendation; better than sleeping outside but only by a little bit.

I'm not a difficult person to please.... with that said I was first able to overlook/smell the old cigarette smell in the front lobby when I checked in. I was definitely NOT IMPRESSED with the filth all over the floors & hallways leading to our room. The room "appeared" to be clean but the stench of cigarettes was also there. OH, I we found a nice note written on an envelope from our housekeeper on the mirror. couldnt help but notice that the mirror probably hadn't been wiped down in quite some time either. When we moved a chair in our room to unpack, we found trash that was apparently left there from another customer. OH, did i forget to mention the trash that was in the hallway at the end of our corridor from the time we checked in until we raced to check out the following day. Such a shame, i'm sure this hotel has definitely seen better days but the owners/management definitely do not do their job on the upkeep. Again, I'm not a difficult person to please but there are certain things that one could not help but overlook.
