I'll admit, driving up, it looked a bit sketchy. It was fully dark when I got there (being winter and all) and they use red lights outside the rooms instead of white, which is great for night vision, but gives a weird vibe to a single female checking in. They are very much renovating and their office is currently in an extra room, but signs clearly point the way. Check in as really easy and quite polite. The (nonsmoking) room kinda smelled of smoke, but everything was clean and ready for me. The heater came on and brought the room up to a comfy temperature quickly. Water pressure in the shower wasn't amazing, but certainly doable. Plenty of towels that actually absorbed water. Check out was easy and the breakfast was decent. Muffins and mini pastries, juice and whatnot. I would definitely stay there again.

Very good value
The motel was in the porcess of upgrading and overall the stay was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and all the amenities worked fine and were all on the newer side. The overall value was very high. Would stay again.

Budget level price and amenities -
Appears to be in transition from incarnation as a Super 8. Advertised free wifi (which I really wanted for this business trip) did not work and staff was unable to help. Bathroom was clean, but room needed dusting. Overall, pretty basic and needed more attention to details, but inexpensive and with easy access to freeway, near the river.

Short drive from hotel
There are a couple fast food restaurants and one restaurant within walking distance (didn't notice the latter until too late). Otherwise, nothing walking distance that I saw - wound up back on the freeway to exit 69 where there were a few more choices.

Convenient, that's it.
All I can say is that it was cheap. It's in a good location and in a safe area, but the place is run-down, though clean enough.
