Clean, but tired and noisy
I did not understand the layout of Gettysburg. No matter where you stay in Gettysburg, you have to drive. Had I known this I would have stayed outside of town in a newer and I would assume better facility. Although the room was clean, there was truck traffic noise and adjacent room noise. The room was very small. Breakfast was adequate.

Family Vacation 2009
The room was nice and very clean. We would have enjoyed to have a small frig for beverages. The staff was nice; however, a lady a spoke w/ on the phone prior to our stay to confirm our reservations was not so friendly. I believe her name was [...]?? Not certain. I spoke with her on Saturday, June 20th during the day to confirm our stay on June 24 & 25th. She was very short with me over the phone and not very friendly. When we arrived on Wednesday, June 24th, [...] was very sweet and helpful. Overall, a very nice stay.

It was okay...
We only needed a place to crash and get ready in the morning. The last minute price was good, but except for the bathroom, the room was outdated. The pillows were small and flat, and my back was sore in the morning. The shower head was about neck level, a little tricky to use with a sore back. The big mirrior was nice, and the bathroom was updated. The coninental breakfast was good with lots of choices. All in all, it was a lot better than the camping the rest of my family did !

Nice Place in Good Location
The hotel is located right across the street from the Battlefield which was perfect for me. It's quiet, clean, and has a very friendly staff. The rooms are dated however and could use an upgrade. That said, I enjoyed my stay and will most likely book here again in the future.

Great price, good stay.
The hotel was very nice and location was excellent. Staff was friendly and professional. The bed, the most important part of the stay was terrible. Mine and my wife's back are still in knots two days after being home. This was only drawback. But for price was excellent.

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Make up a game plan of places to visit and be realistic. There is A LOT to see and do in Gettysburg and trying to do it without planning in advance can be troublesome. Go to the visitor center before you go anywhere else!!!

Adequate, but nothing special.
The room was clean but kind of dated. Did not feel comfortable, just kind of plain. Okay for sleeping after the wedding but no reason to stay around.

Day at Gettysburg
The location near the Battlefield was very lovely for a morning walk. Also, the nearby restaurant was great after a long drive. The room was just average, but clean and the staff was nice. I would not have been happy if I had paid the full price, but with Orbitz discount, it was a good value.

Location, location, location
This inn is right beside a brewery restaurant and the beautiful (and oldest) seminary in the ELCA Lutheran church. You can easily walk, run, bike right onto the battlefields from your front door. This inn is about a mile from the downtown square - it's kind of nice to get away from all the traffic and hussle at the end of the day. We stayed here for New Years Eve and it was the perfect value for our money.

Entertainment tip:
Short drive from hotel
Gettysburg has a very fun New Years Eve party in the square for all ages. There are musical acts outside and inside differnt buildings. Have a fantastic meal beforehand at the Irish pub O'Rourkes and then enjoy the night, especially the fireworks when the clock strikes 12!

older one level motel refurbished
Motel is convienent to the west side of the battlefield and right on hwy 30. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but seating is mainly with tables for 4 persons but most occupied with one or 2 persons, so at busy times there is no place to sit. The rooms have been refurbhied and are OK but the beds were older and softer . There is a very bright night light on the wall next to the bathroom that is very annoying when trying to sleep.

Good Experience
The room was good, not great. Everything was dark in the room - the walls, the carpet, the furniture. Like a 1970s feel. It could use some modernizing. I almost felt like i was sleeping in a basement. The location was very, very cool - right across from a Civil War battlefield where General Lee actually fought (look at the attached photo). The gift shop is located IN General Lee's actual headquarters. Very cool.
