Worst hotel stay EVER!!
I will just hit on the worse things about this hotel. This was a family vacation and we had a suite and a double room. The suite was to be a king and was not. I guess they made up for that with all the stink bugs that were in our room. (and in our beds). There was dust thick enough to write in on the wood furniture as well as dirty sheets on the sofa sleeper. There were also dead bugs all over the carpet. Had to run hot water for 15 minutes to get hot water to shower and was given two towels daily for five people. In other room they had same problem with water but the worst thing was that the FIRE ALARM WAS COVERED WITH PLASTIC. If looking for a clean safe place to stay I would not recommend this hotel.

Not bad for price paid, needs remodel
The hotel lobby is nice and clean but smells like a swimming pool because the pool is adjacent to the lobby. We were visiting the Ski Liberty resort about 20 mins from this hotel. The rooms were clean, but need a serious remodel, they're televisions are rested on pieces of cardboard so they can rotate on top of the dresser/entertainment unit. Its nice to have a fridge and microwave plus the bathrooms have the nice heat lamps to keep you warm after the shower. The front desk associate at night told us the incorrect time for the pool and I was thoroughly disappointed because the pool was something I was looking forward to using but the hours are so limited. I planned on getting up early to do some laps but the one associate told us 11am and it was really 930, so that was rather disappointing. Overall hotels not bad, no bed bugs which was great. A friend of ours staying in the hotel says don't eat the free breakfast or at least the eggs..

Great convenience and value
We wished that we had had more time to spend in Gettysburg. This Comfort Inn has an excellent location, convenient to many attractions. Very clean room, helpful and professional staff, and reasonable rate will earn a return visit from us. The pool water seemed a bit cloudy but the sauna was a plus after a long day.

Comfortable Stay
This hotel was fine, for as much as we were in it. We were constantly on the go and only in the hotel for sleeping. The breakfast bar left a lot to be desired. The scrambled eggs were horrible & they offered sausage patties that look like they were boiled. Some people do not like sausage, no bacon at all, but it was included in the price of your room - so no need to go out for breakfast. The location was pretty good, not far from the heart of Gettysburg, and easy to get in & out of. The pool didn't look very clean, so we opted out of swimming. All of this is ok though, as we had a great time in Gettysnburg. From purchasing the CD & doing the auto tour, exploring the battlefield, we saw a union regiment reinactment, had our photo taken at the Victorian Studio (they did a great job). We had a great time participating the a ghost tour with Gettysburg Paranormal Assoc...and also went on thier Midnight to 2:00 am ghost hunt. All in all...lots of fun & not much time spent at the hotel.

The shops in Gettysburg are very quaint. Brick building after brick building of gift shops. Lots of fun exploring town.

Good,Bad, Ugly
Location fine to tour Gettysburg. Renovations going on. Chemical smells. Air conditioner musty and moldy smelling. Poor lighting(one) in room. Couldnt make local free calls without giving a credit card number to desk. Scaffolds and painting supplies and tarps in breakfast dining area.

Ok in a pinch
The employees hung around the front door smoking. I ended up with a smoking room that smelled awful. The continental breakfast was all breads. A positive aspect is that it was back from the road and the noise was minimal.

gettysburg stopover
The hotel was very close to Rt.15 and the local attractions were nearby. Walmart is just down the street to pickup anything you forgot to pack and the outlet mall is just a few miles down the road. The hotel was fine for a stopover with friendly staff.

Don't miss the Cyclarama - it is amazing! I saw it years ago, but the way they've revitalized it is a must see.

Bad Experience
After driving 12 hours and finally arriving at the hotel there was no one working the desk. Sign said someone would be right back. 30 minutes later someone appeared. The room and hallway leading to the room stank badly. But we could have overlooked that if the room was at least clean. The bathroom was not cleaned at all and one of the beds was slept in. Basically no maid service was applied to that room. There were two towels for 4 of us. When I tried to get the front desk no one anwsered. I went down to the desk and again there was a sign indicating that someone would return shortly. Finally when someone arrived I asked that they send a maid to clean the room and provide more towels. I expressed my dissatisfaction and they assured me that it would be taken care of. I then went out to dinner with my daughter and her friends. Upon returning the towels were located in the hallway outside of our room (the floor in the hallway was disgusting). No one ever entered into the room and cleaned it. I was highly dissapointed. I went back down to the desk where once again no one was there. We were simply exhausted and needed to sleep. We went back and made the best of it but there were so many bugs in the room that we could not sleep. The window had no screen and apparently had been left open. I checked out the next day as there was no way I would be staying there again.
