Colton Motel Gettysburg

we visited in March...which is most certainly the off season...but the ice machine didn't work, the soda machine was out of order, there wasn't enough hot water to finish your shower the way you should be able to.....and there was no continental breakfast...plus the carafe of coffee must have been from the previous day.....it was tepid and old tasting. The room was clean....lighting in bathroom was really bad. I guess I got what I paid for.

Room was very clean. If you are looking for very inexpensive , no-frills lodging, this is it. Basic necessities only. Towels, bedding, etc, are basement bargain type. TV & Phone - thats it. Fantastic Location, just outside of town, but right in the center of many key locations / battlefields.

We were very pleased with the Colten. Have stayed there many times in the past. Our room had been updated which made our stay this time even more pleasurable and well worth the price. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind, friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely be staying here in the future!

We stayed for one night. The room was clean and the staff of the motel was very friendly. The smell in the room is not the best. But in 5 min walking distance you can find many shops and a good breakfast resterant. (Avenue).

I was really disappointed with the motel. The bed had a plastic cover that was ripped, then instead of a fitted sheet, they had a flat sheet that came off the bed. The other bedding was ripped and nasty looking and smelling. They had to replace the tv because someone had spilled something on it that caused it not to work. The bathroom wasn't too nice either. There was no frig in the room either. The price wasn't expensive, but it should have been much more comfortable.

Motel is an older place but is nice enough. The rooms could be cleaner. The carpet needs a good cleaning. It is close to the Battle field sites.

the location was great. right in the middle of everything going on. able to walk to what ever you would want to see. the hotel was clean. the only thing was trying to unlock the door to get into the hotel.

Room was dirty! Carpet was not clean and had something spilled on it. I had to ask for toilet paper as there was very little on the roll and no spare. The wall lights had tattered lampshades and cobwebs galore! But that wasn't the worst of it. The bathroom window was broken. Someone had shot a BB through it and they said they hadn't had time to fix it. (It was cracked and there was a hole where the BB was shot through.) Consequently, it didn't lock, so, it could be opened from the outside very easily. I opened it and the window literally fell out! I ended up wedging a wooden hanger in it so it couldn't be opened from the outside. I took pictures if you need them. It definitely should not be AAA approved! I also did not receive a receipt with a price for my stay when I left. They said I should have gotten one from you so there had better not be any added items to it!

We had a room with double bed and the great part was we could swim whenever we wanted. That was nice. The only thing wrong was the bathtub. when taking a shower it was slow to drain so you stood in water a little bit, but other than that we enjoyed our stay and walked downtown a little.

Our stay at the Colton Motel was a necessity. I was taking a trip with my mother to Gettysburg as part of the Congressional Award for Youth. This trip was part of a two day trip to Gettysburg, so we had to find somewhere to stay. This place wasn't exciting, however it served its purpose. It was clean, orderly, and comfortable.
