Needs some maintenance
The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Parking for our room was in parking bay next to our door. This was quite convenient, when we arrived it was raining. The continental breakfast was very good. On the down side the room needed some maintenance, the air conditioner did not work (found out during the night) and the toilet was loosely mounted to the floor. The issues were reported.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Allow ample time to tour the Gettysburg battlefield, it will take several hours if you follow the full tour. Take some time to stroll the main shopping streets, there are some unique places.

Oh, know. You're not serious!
I was shocked when I saw how rundown the hotel truly is. The staff was pleasant enough and accommodating, because the first room that we received was a real dump. The kitchenette was dumpy and looked filthy. When we closed the back door the front door popped open and we could not get it to lock again. I immediately went back to the front desk and we were given another room that was clean, but very outdated. The location of the hotel was the only plus.

Great family friendly place to stay
While appearing dated from the outside, the rooms were big and roomy, comfortable beds, quite, plenty of hot water, good internet service, loads of parking and above all clean. This property will not be mistaken for one of the newer formula based hotels, but that is probably the fun of staying at this old style motel. It has a great location across the street from Battleground, and if your looking for something a little different then the cookie cutter newer hotels, it's worth giving this hotel a try. If we are in the area, well stay again.
