Not Recommended

Pros: The motel room was clean except for the smell and close to the interstate. Cons: Even though I requested a non-smoking room, it reeked of cigarette smoke. I cannot verbalize how awful this was. In addition, there was no warm water for the shower in the incredibly small bathroom. Finally, I could hear the adjacent room's television for at least an hour while I tried to fall asleep. tl;dr? Spend the extra $30 on a better place or regret it.

Should have listened to the negative reviews!!!!

First, I reserved a non-smoking room. This was a joke, I literally gasped for fresh air as the potent toxic smell of cigarette smoke rushed from the room as I opened the door for the first time. It was as if the room had been a smoking room for the past 30 years and they just conveniently changed it to a non-smoking room that day. The pungent odor was just overwhelming! Second, they say no pets are allowed in the rooms, but I could tell animals had been in the room because my allergic asthma, which I have only when around cats or dogs, kicked in within 30 min of being in the room. So the no pet thing is a joke also. Third, after watching the maid one morning from my car in the parking lot, my suspicion that they don't clean the room well between users was confirmed. I watched as the maid failed to change the sheets and only changing the pillow cases. When I first arrived in my room, there was lots of body hair in my sheets from someone else. Forth, the internet in the room is worthless. Half the time it doesn't work and when it does it's the speed of dial up. It constantly drops your connection and you lose your web pages you're working on. Also, if you're a business professional and you're in need of a printer, you're out of luck. They don't have a business room for guests. For a mere 10 to 20 dollars more a night you can stay in a much better motel/hotel without all the hassle that comes with this place. I fully regret reserving this motel and would have found other accommodations if I hadn't prepaid for a package motel/car deal. Lessened learned, I will never stay here again! Do yourself a favor, move on to something better or you may seriously regret it as I have!!!!!

You get what you pay for

For the price this hotel was good at best. Room definitely needed a make-over. Place was clean and right next to the 24-hour restaurant/gas station. Easy to find and right off the highway, this hotel is close enough to all the attractions without the bill.

Busy

No, amenities, but store is very convenient. I think check ins and outs needs to be in an office away from the store, restaurant ect... To ease everyone through in an efficient manner.

A place to sleep,period.

The Rodeway Inn Erie is a truck stop. If noise is not a problem for you, this is a nice place. The motel is close enough to the highway that it was difficult to hear the tv. The room was clean but, the motel lobby for check in, is in the convience store in the truck stop. Clerks checked in motel patrons between waiting on people buying snacks and drinks. If you don't plan to stay in the motel longer than to sleep and leave, this is your place.

May 22 /23 Stay

Much nicer than I expected. Very basic room, but it was clean and the bed comfortable. It was supposed to be a queen aized bed, but it was a double. I'mnot sure if their rooms have queen size, but it didn't really matter. The motel is part of a complex that includes a decent restaurant. There were no amenities of any sort such as a pool, but I wasn't looking for that. All things considered, I got good value. I would stay there again.

Good for an overnight stay, but I would not recommend it for an extended stay. The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located right off the interstate. The check in process is somewhat inconvenient; it's at the travel plaza next door, and one has to wait for the store clerks, who are waiting on customers, to find time to get you checked in. Kids enjoyed the game arcade at the travel plaza, though! The rooms were clean and comfortable and gave good value for the price. The complimentary breakfast buffet at the travel plaza restaurant was plentiful and filling, if not of the best quality. It was included in the cost of the rooms, so I can't complain! I would stay there again, if just "passing through."
