Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Dickson City/Scranton

I called to let them know we were arriving REALLY late and Robbie said," No problem! We'll be here to help you whenever you arrive!" Glorious! And they were and they did! We arrived at 2:30 a.m.! Breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious. Room was wonderful. Our only problems - and not their fault at all - there was road construction nearby that caused a confusing detour. And, in the morning, people let their doors slam behind them ... a lot, so it was hard to sleep between 6 and 8 a.m. I went back to bed, though!

I am reviewing this establishment for the second time. The last time was over a year ago and you know how things go, some places start slacking off. Not Microtel. This stay was even better than the last time. I have stayed at Microtels in other places and the quality is consistent. You are close to the highway, shopping, food, etc. It is quiet for the most part, clean and the people are fabulous. One person, Kimberly, really impressed me when she went out of her way to help with my key card when it stopped functioning. The free breakfast is great and looks appetizing. The area around the front desk has couches and a desk if you want to hang out as a group. Coffee is ready and available all the time and the fresh fruit bowl is a nice touch. I paid a couple bucks extra for a room with a microwave and fridge, but there is a microwave in the kitchen area you can use if you get a room without.

good experience, doing some highway work at this exit, but otherwise very good

I was delighted by the cleanliness of the hotel and the courtesy of the staff and as a result I returned a second night on my return journey. It's a great half way point from Pittsburgh to Boston-I would recommend it as great value for anyone on the long haul trip.

stayed only one night at this hotel. I booked online and the process was simple and quick. Upon arrival at the hotel the check in was quick and we were very pleased with our room. The hotel had no close food options but after a short drive(about 5 min) you had MANY choices of eateries! The hotel did offer a free breakfast which we enjoyed! During breakfast my son put a boiled egg in the microwave and yep, you guessed it, it exploded and made a huge mess!! The staff was very nice about it and cleaned it right up!!!

We were attending our Son's wedding in Scranton. Hotel was in a perfect location, close to venue and close to huge shopping area right up the road. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The only problem we had was the wi-fi connection in our room was very sporadic.

I love this hotel. This was the second time I stayed there. I even changed my plans as the week I first wanted to go to the area, the hotel was booked up. The bed is heavenly! Everything is spotless and the linens and finishes are upscale. The staff is warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about a variety of nice places that are close to go have a nice dinner. You feel very safe there and the breakfast is really good. They have fruit on the counter at the reception desk for you and you can get coffee, tea and hot chocolate whenever you wish. It's an easy drive from the airport too. I chose it the first time because it was brand new, and it still looks brand new!

Friendly personnel, but inaccurate directions given for specific mart. Cozy and comfortable room, but noise of ice machine at different night hours if room is near it.

Very clean place with friendly staff. Decent Breakfast. My room had a slight cigarette smoke odor even though the entire facility is supposed to be smoke free. Another slight issue - the clerk assigned me a single Queen Bed room even though I had paid extra booked a room with 2 queen beds. I came back and asked him and was assigned a new room immediately.
