Pleasantly surprised!
Above average for the cost. Room cleanliness dropped a notch due to a few hairs around the bathroom sink, but overall was very good. The bed was comfortable and I got a great nights sleep!

Friendly Employees
I would recommend this hotel to a friend. They helped me to send a fax without charging any money. The hotel was very nice for me. The price is affordable, and the room was very large. So, it was more than enough for a traveler.

Clean and Secure, but nothing extra
We are not very demanding with hotel rooms. We want the room to be clean and the facility to be safe. This was both. Right off the highway, easy to find (behind another building but there is a big sign) and a good choice of restaurants in area. The room was huge with a strong door opening from an inside hallway. Never heard guests in other rooms or hallway. It was clean, with a fridge and thin but ample number of towels. The only negatives would be the blanket which was really old and scratchy (I removed it from the bed) and the continental breakfast which consisted of a few english muffins to toast and coffee with creamers. I wouldn't recommend staying for a number of nights but fine for a stop over during a road trip.

Great Weekend Trip To Hershey
A friend and I wanted to take her three girls on a trip to Hershey, PA but we were on a budget. We choose the Travel lodge because it was the cheapest with decent reviews. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though we arrived at 2 AM they were more than willing to accommodate us with extra pillows and towels. The free continental breakfast was another surprise. It was basic (Bagels, English muffins, Cereal) but served our needs and save us a few more bucks. The hotel was a little run down but was very clean and the staff was great. The internet worked fine as well (Other reviews had hinted that it wasn't working). It fit the price range.

Nightmare
Checked in, room was dark and smelly. Bathroom was filthy, ended up buying cleaning supplies to clean the bath myself. Manager assured me he would have it cleaned, I guess we have different takes on what is clean. First night the other people around my room were partying till all hours and kept banging on my door. Next day I asked the manager to do something and he moved us to a different room, a little cleaner than the last but still when you have a black soap dish in the shower makes you wonder how clean the tub is. Cleaned that bath as well. Guy would bang on the door at 8:30 in the morning to "clean" the room. Rooms were really roomy but very dark, only had the one small window. Had spiders and ants in the room as well. Prepaid that's why we stayed. The only way to get clean sheets was to strip the bed yourself and leave a note to have the room vacuumed. No surfaces were ever wiped downed unless I did it. Didn't try the free breakfast, afraid, what with the state of the rooms, what must the kitchen look like. Even though the place was showing its age, if it had been cleaner and the staff a little more approachable the stay probably wouldn't have been so bad. Right off the pike and close to I81 so it was really easy to hop the interstate.

Nice for the price
We were in We were in Carlisle for a wedding; it was beautiful. The room was fine. The only problem was, the staff spoke very little English. When I was checking in it was a little stressful; I started to question if they had a room for us. Then the manager arrived and he spoke a little English.

This was a bad experience
While we visited the hotel we were their for a church service. Upon arriving refrigerator leaking in room, was replaced with another one that was very filthy. Bathrooms were very dirty hair in the shower and also on the sheets. A few lights were not working, ice bucket was full of bugs, a part of the wall was falling out, their was trash under the beds ramen noodle wrapping, old towels in the bathroom. Staff became very upset when asked to clean.
