Hampton Inn Carlisle

Yes,something was missing - a bed. I booked at least 6 weeks in advance for 2 queen beds. Upon arrival was given a suite with one bed and a pull out sofa. The sofa was miserable as anyone knows who has slept on one. We were told that this is the only room. I called the hotel 2 weeks in advance to confirm my reservation and confirm the 2 queen bed room and was told yes it was. I didn't need a suite. All I wanted was a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed.

Everything was very clean and new, great staff, location by the Pike, free coffee/tea bar & newspapers, and awesome breakfast buffet. We stayed a week and never had an issue. We would stay again.

A well appointed hotel that's a very good value for the price. For example, they accept pets at no extra charge. The complimentary breakfast was very good and plentiful. There were also complimentary hot drinks, internet and fax available 24/7. They have coin-op guest laundry facilities which were really handy. The rooms were lovely, very clean, with comfortable pillow top mattresses and high quality bedding/linens. This was a relaxing and restful stay after a 10 hr drive. The hotel is close to I 76. There was road construction nearby and at night it was difficult to find the entrance which is shared with another hotel. If you check-in late, there aren't any places to eat, but there is a supermarket open. Overall a great place to stay.

The hotel staff was good. The room was located across from the laundry/utility room and a stair well to the left. The noise in the hall and constant, people knocking on the utility room door was never ending between 7:00pm and 1:00am. I don't know what was going on in the utility room but people were coming and going about every 20 minutes.
