Relax Inn and Suites Bedford

Average, but good for the money paid. The family who were running the hotel were very pleasant people. Smaqll room, but enough room for a short stay.

This was the ideal roadside motel for our trip from southern Illinois to New Jersey. Less than a minute from the Pennsylvania Turnpike exit and a quiet area (despite there being a bar next door.) This motel looks a little rough on the outside but our room was nicely appointed, clean, and very large. Staff was very friendly.

I made a same day reservation for this hotel, I contacted the hotel directly to verify a very late check-in. When we pulled up there was a sign for a VERY shady looking bar that appeared to be attached to the hotel. I went to check in and the staff insisted on charging me an additional fee because I needed two beds (I had made the reservation for 2 adults and 2 children). After arguing with the staff for over 20 minutes I chose to leave and found a room up the street for about the same price as they would have charged me but a much nicer hotel. I only got as far as the front desk but it smelled and didn't appear to be very clean. I would not recommend staying here.

Visiting family in the area and needed a lower priced hotl. Found it very clean, breakfast was not very good. No real tea not fruit options. yhe staff was responsevie

Hotel was very near the turnpike exit and to the area I was visiting,it appeared clean and was comfortable. Not exceptional but adequate for the price. Staff allowed me early check-in.

on check in we were given an "upgrade" from a room with a queen bed to a room with a king bed. During the course of the evening another guest attempted to access the room and stated that the desk staff had assigned the room to him. There was a jaccuzi in the room but it didn't work. There was no refrigerator, iron or ironing board. In the morning we went to the ontinental breakfast area. There was no breakfast set up. The coffee and juice machines had broken/inop signs on them. When I went to checkout there was nobody at the fron desk. I rang the bell. I could see partially into the room behind the front desk and I observed a man getting out of bed to come to the front desk. He was very disheveled, extremely grumpy and unfriendly. It was very obvious that he didn't like being disturbed. I will not ever go back to this establishment and stongly do not recommend it to any other travelers.

We attended a party that was held in the bar behind the hotel. The location was great it kept us from drinking and driving, and there were several dining options nearby.

The continental breakfast was very basic, and the juice dispenser was not working.

The name of the inn is an ideal which for us was totally impossible to reach. There's no relax living there whatsoever. We stayed in this inn for only one night as a stop-by during a long drive, thinking this should help us get more rest during the trip. Instead we felt terribly exhausted the next morning since the whole night was a sleepless pick-your-poison experience: should we let the even louder AC run all night to block the loud noise from nearby highway, or should we just sleep in muggy air & try to forget all the cars driving by? Either way, we found RELAX is only a dream which we can't even dream of, because first we have to fall asleep before we can dream! The inn offers wireless internet service, but they got only one router in the lobby & the signal is so poor they'd tell you that you need to go to the lobby in order to receive the signal. The free breakfast is ok, but only from 7-9 am. The juice machine is broken so we had to call the check-in lady to manually press the machine to get juice, & she actually said "the machine is always like that" so we figured it's never fixed. Before we left, one thing happened that finally forced us to give this inn the lowest rating: we were in the room packing & taking shower so naturally we put the DO NOT DISTURB sign out. But the cleaning lady came, ignored the sign and just used her key to enter our room WITHOUT even knocking.
