Hampton Inn Allentown

The Hampton Was a beautiful facility. The front was being reblacktopped so it was difficult for the handicapped individual to gain entrance. We did discover the rear entrance, but it was quite an incline. Then we returned and parked in the rear and could not get in as the rear entrance was being repainted and we had to go in the front entrance in reverse from the 'EXIT'end. Bath tub was difficult for the handicap individual to cope with so we had to go out and buy an additional suction cup grab bar and tub bench to adapt.[...] Had to wash some clothes during our 5 day stay and the washer and dryer were old and dryer did not work to dry clothes, but sucked in all the money.Breakfast bar was excellent, but needed high fiber foods. Fresh fruit was great. Fortunately we brought our own granola and Silk milk and added the fruit. The microwave was removed after the first day as it was broken and was not replaced or repaired during our 5-day stay.Directions to local stores and restaurants was available at the front desk via printouts was excellent. Maid service was excellent and the one we had out-shined the managers on duty with excellent customer service. The evening manager and the maintenance man and who was doing the painting lacked customer service skills.

Very disappointed... We were given a single double bed room for a family of 4 and they were full and unable to relocate us. The kids had to sleep on the floor. There is no refrigerator in the room. No coffee at the breakfast buffet...Very disappointing Hampton Inn!

I had a good stay. However, I will not stay on the first floor next to the front desk. Room 111. The lady asked me if that was okay at check in. I said it was okay but I didn't think about it. I was wrong. It was quite noisy. Again, they asked me if it was okay, so my fault.

The heater was noisy, and the hotel uses way to much bleach on the bed sheets! I almost needed oxygen!

This Inn was just outstanding, had a inside picnic for all the car owners & there guests (we attended a large car show in the area this weekend) who were there on Friday night. Could not have been more helpful to all and expressed thier graditude for all of us coming. All managers mingled with the picnic crowd asking us to come back next year! Encourged us to register for 2010. It was very clean and well keep also. Planing to return next August.

We travelled to Macungie,PA for the car show. After driving 3 hours and walking around the car show for another 3 hours we headed to the Hampton Inn.We were most graciously received and then were told we had a jacuzzi in the room which I had not expected at all. The room was large new and spotless. It was such a great relaxation to indulge ourselves in the soothing jacuzzi. The front desk was ever so helpful in suggesting nearby restaraunts. The hot breakfast on the following rainy morning hit the spot for us without having to go out in the rain looking for a place to eat.
