Comfort Suites Allentown

We had a few problems in our room but they were taken care of. The TV had problems our first night and after calling twice (because they were taking longer than I anticipated and our 19 month old needed to go to bed) they came up and fixed it and then replaced it in the morning since we continued to have problems. The TV is why I gave the amenities a 4 star because both tvs that we had were flat screens. The refrigerator was all the way on low cool but it didn't take long to fix. The tub didn't hold water but they gave us a tub stopper which worked just fine. The room is nicely decorated and large for the price (King with an extra sofa sleeper) but needs some SERIOUS deep cleaning. There is lots of dust and dirt in the corners of the floor which is pretty gross when you have a toddler sometimes crawling on the floor. The crib we got was also metal but it seemed perfectly safe. I wish we had just brought the pack and play though, because my daughter is only 30 inches tall and didn't have much room to roll around in. Also, because of how close we were to Dorney, we thought we would walk. Good idea in theory. We wanted to go the safest route since we had our daughter and in doing so we had to walk along the road to the next light, walk across the highway, and down through the huge parking lot. The safest way was definitely a LONG hike. Close to 1/4-1/3 mile. On our way back we risked the 4 lane with no problems since it was mid day and not busy at all (easiest way is to enter through the exit of the parking lot which is directly across from the Holiday Inn parking lot). I wouldn't risk the 4 way again though. It made me way too nervous and in my opinion, if you have a small child, pay the $15 to park anyway. The breakfast had some pretty horrible eggs and sausage, but everything else was decent for it being included. I do wish the laundry service was available on the weekend as well.

When I first got there they told me I had to wait until 3pm to check in. When we finally got to are room we found a stopped up toilet which worked after a couple of flushings. The room itself was very dated, the furniture was very worn for a place of this pricing.they need to do a lot of upgrading to make this a value.(who watches a small tube type TV anymore?) I stayed in some Super 8's that were nicer-- at half the price

The room was very comfortable. Check in was fast and easy and the Hotel restaurant was wonderful. I had very good service.

The room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and two chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was adequate space for hanging clothes and. The location was very good -- it was really only one short block to Dorney park and there were restaurants in the area also.

The Comfort Inn was nice enough, and the staff was friendly. The room had all the amenities. The cost, however, was ridiculous. I realize it's next to Dorney Park, but I would expect a much larger room and an air conditioner that worked better.
