Not a clean or comfortable place to stay
The hotel was cheap so we weren't expecting much, but a clean place to sleep. It was not at all clean. The shower did not work & the room smelled strongly of body odor. After complaining to the desk we received another room that was slightly better, but had to get new towels because of the amount of stains on the ones in our room. The kids did enjoy the pool, but there was some kind of green foam floating around from some sort of toy or something. The beds are also extremely hard, not comfoprtable at all. All in all we will NOT be staying at this hotel again.

i booked this hotel through a website, arrived at 11:00 am to find out the real name of the hotel is the phillipsburg inn also known as the welfare hotel of the town. i don't have a problem with this, i just don't want to stay in a smelly creepy hotel on my vacation. check in took 20 minutes, we were the only ones in the lobby, walked right into the hotel, no security, dark and dirty hallway, got to the room to find the front desk clerk opening the door, the room was still occupied and not cleaned. i told her that i just couldn't stay there, she actually ran after us, begging us to stay!

Progressive Vessel
Affordable on a crunch time
The best amenity about this hotel is the pool. It was great! My kids loved it. I must say that when we first arrived, the room assigned to us had an unbearable stench. It was a mixture of smoke, sweaty feet, and sweaty underarms. We had to change it. The next room was alot more bearable. The housekeeping and concierge were very nice though. The continental breakfast consists of donuts, juice, and coffee. What was a little un-nerving were the weird looking people walking around aimlessly but for the price what can you ask for.

MacArthur Road was approximately 15 minutes away on the highway. It is a huge shopping area of plazas, a mall, and eateries.

Charged Twice
The motel is fine for a night while traveling through. I pre-paid through a travel service but the motel charged me again. The travel service called three times when the manger was to be in, but the manager "wasn't available" and did not return their calls. Travel service finally refunded me on their account. Basic place to stay, bad mangement.

Inn keeper was from india and we discussed hinduism, very enlightning.

The room was small and the amenities were from the 1970's, but it was very clean and everyithing worked.......it wasn't like i had planned on staying in the room - i went to the Drum Corp show on friday and saturday - when you have something to do outside of the hotel, you can't do better than clean, easy to get to, and a nice staff.....
