Motel 6 Portland South Lake Oswego Tigard

This is not a luxury hotel. It doesn't have "amenitites" to speak of. But it's properly clean, the pillows are fluffy and lovely, the staff was great, and it's exactly where I needed a motel to be. No complaints at all. Just... yeah, it's a Motel 6. One of the better Motel 6's, but not a resort.

Had a reservation with a note for late arrival. The attendant at the counter was flustered and ready to go home. She said she was not properly trained with entering check-in forms into the computer. Finds my reservation and makes my room card and when I get to the room there is another guest in the room. I walked all the way back to the office with all of my luggage and a very tired toddler, she says, "are you sure, check again." I leave my bags and walk to the room again and of course there is still someone in my room. I then wait for an hour and 45 min while she and another employee have a complete meltdown and while they are ranting and trying to find this mystery guest checkin information, still do not have a room. They finally find something and it empty for a reason because AC is not working. Mind you I have a 15 month old with me who I had traveled with from Baltimore at 10am Eastern time and it was now almost 11pm Pacific time! Can you say NIGHTMARE?

A very basic room and as another reviewer stated, no shampoo so bring your own. As for my stay, it was okay except for the fire at 3:45am. Nothing like waking up to smoke, police and fire trucks. I did get a refund by the poor over run lady up front, she was very helpful and nice. As for internet, it's an extra $3, I did not pay for it, just watched the very basic cable. Looks like I will pop for a little higher level room next time. Good room if you are looking to have a "hit and run" type stay. One more thing, cool shower, even though I did not have a chance to use it.

I was looking for a place to stay for 1 night at the best price, I was there for a bachelor Party and needed a place to put my bags and to sleep for about 3 hours, the rest of the time I was driving around. The rooms are kind of small I got a 2 bed room and a 1 bed room with a door between the rooms. you have to pay for the wireless internet service provided by the hotel, there is no continental breakfast, and no coffee pot in the rooms so plan on stopping at a Starbucks for your morning coffee. Over all it was exactly what I Was looking for CHEAP!!

I had never booked a Motel 6 before but since my usual favorite was fully booked, I was traveling with small children and we really only need a place to crash while we enjoyed attractions around the area, I decided to go ahead and do Motel 6. Though there were a few issues with our reservation and room. The General Manager was on duty and made every effort to accommodate us. She and her staff were exceptional.

The location was right off the highway which was nice. the lobby clean somewhat sterile but OK. I had a non smoking room which still smelled like old cigarettes. the towels had hair and other things embedded in them. When I asked for new towels they also had hair all over them. Cops in the parking lot and noise complaints . Would never stay again without a bottle of bleach and my own towels and sheets

Convenient parking and access to room,office, restaurants, shopping, highways and public transportation.

The hotel had everything that we needed. Wi-fi was available and in good working order. It was clean and quiet. It is dog friendly and did not cost extra for our cocker spaniel. It was easy to find a place to walk the dog.

The Motel 6 was very clean but smelled strongly of smoke. I had a non-smoking room but the smell was so strong it made my son sick. I will not stay at a Motel 6 again.
