Free breakfast and an outdoor pool at Columbia River hotel
Super 8 The Dalles OR, in Oregon's beautiful Columbia River Gorge, puts guests a convenient distance to outdoor activities and attractions, including Bonneville Dam, the Hood River and the Columbia Gorge Waterfalls. The hotel is also close to cultural sites, for instance Maryhill Museum and its Rodin collection. Super 8 The Dalles OR itself offers plenty of services and amenities for budget-conscious travelers. Breakfast, parking, wireless Internet access and newspapers are free. Super 8 The Dalles OR also has an outdoor pool and guest computer.

OK enough, not a great value
The staff was polite and helpful. We were upgraded to a King size bed "due to overbooking", but preferred and asked for a Queen-stuff happens and the King was comfortable enough. The breakfast was a bit sparse, but they had fresh coffee. The room is starting to show it's age and needs to be freshened. A bit of grout missing in the bathroom, cleaning wear on the toilet seat, the air conditioner froze up (but still worked well after turning it off long enough to thaw out-the room didn't get warm. The high speed internet wasn't-I did a speed test and it showed only .47 mbps download and .30 mbps upload speeds. To be fair, we have stayed here 4 times so it isn't that bad-but have had much better experiences for a much lower price at other Super 8 motels. I would recommend this to a friend but with reservations-it is an OK place to stay, but not a very good value.

Eat at Romul's Italian Ristorante. We come here once a year to have dinner for our anniversary and have never been disappointed.

The staff was welcoming and helpful and the hotel was quite large. The parking lot was a bit small relative to the hotel; the breakfast a bit sparse; the room somewhat worn and small; the location was industrial; and all in all a bit spendy for what it offered.

This location wasn't bad. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was pretty clean. Our room faced the back side of the building so we had early morning noise from the trucks delivering to the grocery store next door. We were disappointed in the continental breakfast. It was nothing but breads. There wasn't fruit or juices of any kind. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area but the price was much higher than nicer places in Portland.

Great for a short stay
We were in town for a family visit. The hotel was only 8 minutes from the family members we were visiting. The rooms were clean. The beds were not the most comfortable but for a short stay they were fine. The breakfast was a very nice addition. Always enjoy a good waffle. Close to waterfalls and mountains. Many dining options in the area. Easy access to the highway. Enjoyed our stay.

Excllent Customer Serive!
The front desk staff assisted me in many ways. I needed a second desk chair, I was provided one. I couldn't get onto the wireless network, and Lindsay assisted me. Breakfast area was spotless and completely stocked. I will recommend The Dalles Super 8 to my friends and associates. I will be staying at The Dalles Super 8 frequently over the coming year.

Good room for a good price
Very pleased with room and amenities. Breakfast area was large and served a nice breakfast. Room was quiet but the doors always slam shut unless you hold it, so mornings can get a little noisy. Not a deal breaker.
