Good value

Convenient location on Gateway, right next to good food at Elmers. The mattresses were hard, faucet wouldn't turn off, but plenty of room and appreciated the blackout curtains. The price was right!

Decent

Shilo Inns typically are decent hotels. This one is an older one. Room was comfortable enough. They still use real keys and if you lose one they charge $25 for the replacement. Lost mine but found it at the restaurant where I ate. Good enough for one night stay.

Very average motel, not bad, just not wow!

Room was clean enough but for the price I was expecting a little bit more.

Outside unimpressive, but inside good

We had a couple of rest days in Eugene during a long car trip to many places. There were restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel was quiet despite the proximity of the freeway. We had our doubts in the hallway, but inside, the room was comfortable and clean. Would recommend it.

Needs an upgrade

The hotel was definitely in need of some upgrades in service. Room didn't have enough coffee/creamer for 3 people and we couldn't get more when we asked the hotel service people. Continental breakfast ran out of coffee too before the end of the scheduled service times. We couldn't get internet service in our room either, due to the hotel being FULL for the wknd.or so we were told. When we returned to our room at 6:00 in the evening, our room had still not been cleaned . . . again with the explanation that they were FULL for the wknd. which of course, had been booked out for most occupants since early February for the local college graduation in mid June. Have stayed in many a Shilo Inn before, but would not stay at this one (Springfield, OR) ever again.

Affordable & clean

My experience at the Shilo Inn was very good. all staff were friendly & helpful. My room was clean when i arrived. I was taking my daughter back to school, and all i needed was an affordable room, that was clean & near campus. Shilo In filled all of that, being 5 minutes from Campus. Pretty much, whatever you needed was nearby...Elmer's for Food, a good sports bar, a mall down the street, and a Starbuck's that is literally next door to the hotel that you can walk too!! No doubt, for the price i paid, i would stay there again.
