Shilo Inn Seaside Oceanfront

Slow this time of year so we were upgraded to a Loft Room, which means a view of the ocean. Big storm came in with gusts up to 70 mph or so. The loft room was noisy & shook in the wind. Because my job requires me to go to work when the power goes out, I didn't sleep well. Otherwise the room was great.

The staff was fantastic and helpful. Unfortunately on the third floor where we had our room, many of the other rooms were getting new carpet... so everything was in the hallways.. making moving around the hotel a challenge, I feel the room rates should have been discounted due to the inconvenience.

Hotel and staff were great, right on the water, awesome view. Disappointed that I paid more going through a third party, than I would have if I booked directly!

We had a wonderful time and took our dog and we all loved it there. It was really nice and spacious with a beatitful view and loved that gas fireplace too!! The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!!

At the hub of Seaside, you can sit in the hot tub or in the restaurant and watch people walk the promenade in front of you, with the waves beyond. The complimentary glass of wine insures that you at least check out the lounge, and in my case with a live music Saturday night and a friendly crowd, l spent it dancing late into the evening. Kudos to the musician, "Bucky" - a talented local favorite. The room is fairly large and Shilo's motto "affordable excellence" describes it well. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only regret was my own mistake, next time I will pay extra for an ocean view room... and I will be coming back!

room was way to small for any comfort,bath wasn't any better, view was only there if you didn' mind looking over a rooftop, the only way you could see any beach was to be over 6' tall and window to the outside was broken[had been for some time] and could not be closed. Do not get a room with a loft. Other rooms seemed much more adequate.

My sister and I grew up in Seaside and this was a great place for us to have a reunion and get to know each other again. Everything went perfectly and we had a wonderful time. The hotel staff and the restaurant and room couldn't have been better. We stayed in an ocean front room,and we loved every minute of the view and the time we spent with friends and family.

Hotel is in a good location for both the town and the beach. The bar and restaurant were good with friendly service which is important if the weather is bad. The rooms were basic which I expected but the bed was very uncomfortable with not enough pillows. Also the controls for heating and cooling did not work.

My stay at this hotel was better than expected. The location is absolutely perfect, and although everything is over priced, that's just the result of being a tourist spot. I upgraded to the king size room for extra space because we were with a little one and needed space for her pack n play. The room had a partial view of the ocean and a view of the strip, so I got to see both. My huge complaint about the room was the lack of a bathtub. There is only am open shower with a curtain that makes it hard to chorale a child, and makes for a very wet floor. My daughter had an amazing time and that's what is most important. Although the price was steep, and you can probably find a good place to drop in on, it was worth the location and easy parking.

Everything was great except the bed. Our bed was basically worn out with a huge dip in the middle. Otherwise, we had a great time at the beach and this Inn was fantastic.
