Great Spring Break Last Minute Stay

Staff at check in was very friendly. Definitely an older building that could use some updating. Love the pool and hottub. Sauna and steam room are a nice bonus. Close to downtown without the downtown rate.

A good place to land.

It wasn't right on the beach, but it was a fine place to relax and put my stuff. Love that they have a sauna. There was nowhere to hang anything in the room, though - no hooks or closet, made it a little hard to feel settled.

CONCERNS

I'VE STAYED AT SHILO'S BEFORE. PROBLEM #1 AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IN ROOM WAS SO NOISY ON START UPS MAINTAINING TEMP THAT YOU COULD NOT SLEEP. WAS SURPRISED THAT ADJACENT ROOMS DID NOT COMPLAIN. SOUNDED LIKE A SHIP FOG HORN GOING OFF EVERYTIME IT ENGAGED. SO FOUR NIGHTS OF VERY LITTLE SLEEP. POOL AREA NEEDS ATTENTION, HOT TUB JETS NON OPERATIONAL. GOOD THING WAS MAIN STAFF GOOD. ROOM CLEANLINESS GREAT. FRONT DESK STAFF GREAT. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS LACK OF SLEEP BECAUSE OF AIRCONDITIONING NOISE. JIM

Nice hotel.

The hotel room was very comfortable and the courtesy shown by the staff was exceptional. The location was a little out of the beaten path but not so far that getting around to the "sights" was not that difficult. On the plus side, it was easy access and one doesnot have to battle a lot of traffic due to narrow streets.

Family Getaway

Great room for the price. Good location. Not on the beach, but fairly close to the beach. Hotel was easy to find and kind of out of the way so not a lot of traffic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Our daughter enjoyed the pool in the evening.

Just OK

Room was OK. The beds were too hard, the decor outdated. Paint was chipping and peeling in the bathroom. Although the hotel advertises as 100% smoke free our room smelled of old stale smoke. The "free breakfast" was skimpy at best. Just pre-packaged danishes and bagels, instant oatmeal, granola bars and coffee. Also too far from the beach to walk while carrying all the needed beach equipment.
