Short drive from hotel
About 15 to 20 mins away is Cannon Beach. Love that place! Movie trivia time this is also the beach that was used in the filming of the "Goonies" with the famous Hay Stack Rock, that was where The pirate ship was hidden in the movie.

Pretty good except
Booked a suite online. Stayed for one night. Everything was pretty good except that when we arrived, we were told that our room won't be available until 4pm. We were then asked to pay $20 extra to get another suite that has the river view. I accepted that room only because so that I could get a room right then.

Would not stay for more than a few days
The hotel itself was seemingly the better of the hotels in Seaside, but I don't know that is saying too much. The room pictured on the website was exactly what it looked like when we got there, so no surprises there, which is good! The breakfast, however, was mediocre. We stayed for 7 nights and it was the EXACT SAME breakfast every single day. Yogurt, fresh fruit salad that tasted only like cantaloupe, hard boiled eggs, hard oatmeal, hard waffles, stale bagels, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Nice variety for the first couple of days, but not for a whole week. The managers hospitality hour was also very lame. Yes, beer and wine was the highlight and I am sure that is where the majority of the excitement comes from. The mini sodas are generic Shasta and were gross and they had three types of crackers that never changed as well. Goldfish, pretzels and a snack mix. It was the same thing everyday. I was hoping for much more in the aspect of food, but that goes for the whole town of Seaside...not good. The pool was also FREEZING the whole time we were there.

Short walk from hotel
The beach is the highlight of Seaside. It was a good place for a day or two, but I would not stay for much longer than that. There isn't a whole lot to do other than that.

Nice stay
Great stay at River Tide suites. The room was very clean and roomy. No complaints at all with the accomodations. The continental breakfast was adequate, although seating was limited.

One small big thing
It was a great experience we had an unexpected wine and beer event when we came in. But the tub jets did not work in the room and they could not fix them. Beautiful place nice people but I promised my wife the jets on the tub and it made me a bit mad, she said it didn't matter because the place was very nice but you spend the money you should have what was advertised.

These are the nicest rooms in
These are the nicest rooms in seaside. Not right on the beach... but close enough to walk... only a couple blocks. Rooms are beautiful, updated, with jacuzzi tub flat screen tvs, kitchen and very comfortable beds. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We loved that they had a BBQ that we could use. The nightly manager reception was great... Free beer and wine! This is the only place I stay in seaside.

We were participating in a beach cleanup event. Came back to the hotel for complementary managers beverages and watched a football game. It was a great relaxing way to start the evening off.

Great Place-short walk to the beach
The suite was spacious with a balcony. Although our stay was short and we couldn't take full advantage, it was great to have a kitchen with full refrigerator, microwave, etc.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
we found that Yummy's, a small up-scale restaurant within walking distance was the best find. Several good shops close by as well.
