Great Price

Decent place! My wife and I thought the room had a funny odor. She thought the bathroom smelled like urine, I could smell it a little but no big deal. She said on top of the cabinet where the tv was sitting was dusty. I thought it was a decent place for the money. I noticed dogs on leashes. Not a deal breaker. We have a dog. They were in the lobby area where we were eating. Great for overnight stay.

Can't beat it for the price!

This hotel was great for the price and they take pets! We got a discount for staying 3 days and the hotel equaled more expensive hotels that I've stayed in. The only thing I would change as far as the comfort level is having a comfortable chair to sit in to watch the t.v. We had dogs and there is a nice spot out back to walk your dogs and there are dog pick-up bags provided and even picnic tables to sit at while your dog is outside. The staff is super great. They are very friendly, accommodating and willing to help. There is a free continental breakfast that you normally don't see at hotels at this price and plenty of free parking. It is in the great little town of Seaside and not far from quaint Astoria and the drive is pretty. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We ate at great restaurants in Astoria and found them from asking locals. The people are super nice and friendly there so just ask them where the good restaurants are and they will be happy to suggest a great place to eat!

Cousin's Family Beach Getaway

We liked that our room was right by the stairs. (We got more exercise that way.) We also appreciated the yummy contienental breakfast and the waffles. The variety was great as far as breakfast goes, but I would appreciate more fruit choices besides just bananas. We stayed at the Seaside, OR Hotel, did some Carousel Mall Shopping, walked on the beach, put our feet in the sand and water, and so much more. This trip was better than most because it was not rushed, and we did not have to spend extra money to go out and find breakfast in the mornings. We all had a blast!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

They have attractions that are similar to going to the fair, such as tilt a wheel, mini putt-putt, carousel merry go round a shopping mall, bumper cars, elephant ears, ice cream and fudge shops, and not to mention Seaside's amazing clam chowder (delicious!).

Stay away from "MICRO" tel

The MicroTel put a downer on my vacation. From the start, the staff wouldn't let my spouse and kids check in without me, so I had to leave dinner to show my ID for check-in. The hotel is so "micro" that you can barely walk around the bed. Plus our bathroom had black mold and the walls were so thin we could hear all our neighbors TV's and talking. Even the location is bad, it's not close to the beach and just overlooks the highway. As I checked out, I overheard everyone in front of me complaining.

fantastic family getaway

Everyone at this hotel was just wonderful. All of the help were always there if we needed anything. The breakfast was just right for everyone. It would help if there were more gluten free things for us. 3 in our party is gluten free. Other than that we had a wonderful time and would go back again.
