Decent place with pets.

This was a decent place to stay with pets, twenty dollars a night extra. Beach access, decent pool and hot tub and room service was reasonably priced.

Thank you for accepting our doggie but 20$ was a bit steep. Needed a bit more kitchen equipment. But we shall return. The staff was very warm and welcoming, which is the most important thing in the hospitality field.

Room Enough for Two

A lot a reviewers say the rooms are too small. We fit okay with just two of us. Any more than two and it wouldn't have worked. The hotel offers ample opportunity to upgrade to a larger or ocean view room if necessary. Their service overall was very good. The major downsides to this hotel are the thermostat and the shower. It was cooler to turn the fan on than try and use the air conditioning unit. Also, the shower would not reach temp for several minutes and then wouldn't hold it well.

Literally right on the beach. Walk out the side door, take a right, you're on the beach.

Good times had!

Overall it was an enjoyable visit. The room that we booked online was very very small but the front desk was very helpful and set us up in a bigger room for an additional fee of course. The new room had a great view and was 4 times the size of the original one.

Pretty expensive for middle class

The hotel was okay. It's a best western, so no frills, but clean. The staff was helpful. Every room is good, none of them face the parking lot or ugliness. The hotel is in transition, having undergone a renovation recently, so the TV and remote didn't match up, but they sent two people up late at night to fix who were competent and helpful. The beach is great, but Seaside is just shops filled with plastic stuff [*]. Seriously. Stay in Cannon Beach instead. That place is paradise! The only problem we had was I needed a ground floor room and I paid for partial ocean view. When I got there, the desk staff told me there aren't any partial ocean view on the ground floor. I ended up on the 4th floor, which was NOT okay.Oh, and nothing is free but the ice. They charge for EVERYTHING. This is the first BW I've been to that didn't have a free breakfast of some sort.

Room Dependent

The first night was horrible. We had the SMALLEST hotel room I had ever seen. We had to stack a chair on top of the t.v. to have a space to put my son's playpen. To top it off, the room was right next to the outside door that slammed shut all night and the window opened up to the staircase. We kept waking up all night to people talking in the halls and going in and outside. It was awful! So our 2nd night we paid the extra money to upgrade to an oceanfront room with kitchenette and had a pleasant night. This one was nice and spacious and much quieter. What a difference! So if you're going to stay here, spend the money to get a decent room or else go somewhere else.
